Hi, I stayed in room 643 and on the second day of our stay the water in the shower did not get hot despite running for at least 20 minutes - it was perfectly fine the previous day. This is now the third time this year when I have stayed in the new block on either level 5 or 6 that this has happened. I am only taking the rating down from 10 to 8 because of this - something needs to be looked at in terms of this issue. Everything else is 10/10, especially the front of house team.
Good location - arrived on Saturday 1 hour before check in - so went to bar for coffee/drink - no bar staff - went to reception asked could we watch the rugby game on tv - advised the hotel does not have a "licence" to watch sport - most unusual! Rooms clean but very small - no bottled water in rooms - no shampoo or conditioner - at €263 I would expect these touches

Fab location close to station, theatre and all central amenities. Easy check in, friendly staff. Plenty of seating areas inside and out, chilled ambience, lovely to just sit and chat Comfortable beds, Good sized shower and quiet at night, so good sleep .Excellent continental breakfast, fresh and lots of choice for everyone.
Clean, functional, value for money. Quiet enough for location. Could do with some glasses in the bathroom and a plug in order to fill up the sink. This would reduce water wastage whilst washing / shaving for sure.

A wonderful stay in a super hotel. The breakfast was outstanding - please do not change that format! Lovely, relaxing bar area and gorgeous cocktails late night. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Will be back!

Lovely hotel, £99 for valentines which was cheap. Bar is really nice. Staff 10/10 lady with the glasses greeted me and was talking for about 5 mins made my day talking to her, also gave me a complimentary cupcake which was a bonus! Room was very clean. Will be coming back 100%:)

Employees are very friendly, location is very good. Only thing which i didn't like is dirty carpet there is lot of hair on it. Maybe it is not easy to keep it clean but owner of motel can choose wood or some other materials.
This was our first visit to Motel One Newcastle, and we were blown away. The venue is beautiful from the moment you step through the doors. The customer service is second to none - incredibly friendly staff who gave the impression that they were genuinely interested in chatting to us. We were even given free cupcakes as part of a Valentine’s Day promotion! The room we booked was the smallest one available, and it was still lovely, and had everything we needed. The only things I’d warn others about are trivial, like the outdated television set or no bin in the bedroom (there is one in the bathroom). The hotel closed at 11pm, but we were able to enter using our room keys. This level of security is unlike anything I have experienced before. I was extremely pleasantly surprised by Motel One and I have every intention of returning - I hope to make this my new hotel for my regular trips to Newcastle. Thank you!

The hotel is in a great location, staff are friendly & helpful on arrival. The lobby & bar looks amazing. The rooms were you know your in a budget hotel, although clean & well presented. For what you pay a nice hotel
Great stay at Motel one. Excellent value for money and a good location close to the theatre and restaurants. Check in staff was friendly and professional. Smooth process and very informative. Room was quiet and comfortable and exactly what we needed. Really liked the large shower and how clean and fresh everything was. Will definitely stay again for our next theatre break :)

This is a very well priced hotel, staff are extremely friendly and professional. This is not the first time I have stayed there and have received the same service each time.
I'm a regular visitor and normally very happy with the accommodation however on this occasion room 653 was not great the USB portals did not work and the sink in the bathroom was really slow draining.
Overall, a good stay. The room was clean and comfortable and the location is very central. Breakfast was underwhelming but satisfactory. I think it is a little overpriced, however it is in central Newcastle. I would consider coming back due to convenient location. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Great city centre hotel. Super nice staff, shout out to Thomas and Francesco, but everyone was so nice. Basic compact rooms, but clean. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Definitely value for money.

Very nice place to stay in. Very good mood environment! Bedrooms are quite small but perfect for just myself. Very clean and breakfast is delicious!!! Drinks are quite expensive but Will definitely stay again.
Staff were super friendlg and helpful. Checkin was smooth and efficient, room perfectly clean and fresh. Breakfast was well managed and there is a great area to sit or drink at other times.
Hotel lobby is lovely and welcoming. However rooms are tired and very small .
Staff were friendly and helpfull at the check in, room was very modern nice and clean, bottles of water would have been nice but coffee and tea were fine. Bar was very smart with casual seating areas, drinks prices were about what you would expect, Loved our stay here had a great day and Night. Nothing to do with the hotel but I don’t recommend driving into Newcastle itself as the roads and signs are very confusing I wish I’d parked on the outskirts and gotten an uber to the hotel

Comfortable stay
always like to stay here when in newcastle the rates are very good, breakfast is a bit boring but there is a great place just around the corner, easy walking distance to bars and eateries and also only a 10 minute walk to the ground on match days, very clean and the decor is lovely, staff are very helpful can normally get an early check in if needed, they will book you a cab if needed and the big bonus being a 24 hour bar service, would definitely recommend motel one
