Every time, when I'm at Motel One, it's nice and well organized, rooms are clean and modern. Only one thing. There is nothing warm for breakfast (e.g. scrambled eggs or sausages).
Our room was very clean, the bed and bathroom were very comfortable. Only the rooms are very small for two people. A bottle of water given at the entrance was also useful. The cold food at breakfast was sufficient but there was only boiled egg as hot food. There could be more options. It was a pleasant stay. Thank you.
Very good location. Ok breakfast, but a little few tables. All over good quality. Cleaning of the room good, but when we went out in the morning and came back 4-5 hours later, we found the room still uncleaned. Love Berlin and will love to stay at MotelOne HM again
Everything was perfect, thank you!
Pleasant priceworthy good position close to sights and transport
Alles super!
I really loved everything about my stay except for the hotel breakfast. The reception staff were fantastic, my room was very comfortable, and the location is outstanding! All for a very reasonable price. But breakfast was truly awful. Sitting in the hotel lobby was uncomfortable and there weren't enough seats for everyone. The buffet stood right in the middle of the lobby - so everyone could have breakfast wether they paid for it or not. I only saw one member of staff to clean up all the tables - far too much work for one person. It was chaotic and really uncomfortable. I had to perch on a bar stool to eat something and left as soon as possible as I didn't feel relaxed at all. This hotel should really re-think how they organise the breakfast and how to make a better experience- both for guests and the poor overworked staff!
I really enjoyed my stay at Motel One; the cleanliness of the place was remarkable. The location was amazing at the center of Berlin.👍🏾
Very quick and easy checking even at a relative late point in time. Cozy and quiet room. Easy check out.
Top!
Alles super!
We had a great stay here, the reception staff were very helpful, we got an earlier check in and the room was spacious and clean. I’d recommend, the location was superb. The room window surprised me. Its low, opened out quite far meaning someone could jump out of it if they wanted to. Not very health and safety friendly, especially with us being on the 4th floor.
Awful experIence room was 80 degrees F for 3 days and nights. Asked for help to adjust no help came. Put a major damper on our stay in Berlin. Will never use this motel again
Room quality, bar as usual all great. Unfriendly and rude colleague during check-out, that refused to print a paper receipt (I am a business traveler and cannot be the only one that prefers paper trail for accounting and reimbursement). The receipt was electronically available and that is fine. Colleague's behaviour is not understandable
Very good hotel, near the city and fantastic persons working here. Great Job
Staff is friendly rooms and Hotel is clean.
Motel One is great, as usual. But 372 EUR for a single night? Yes, sure... it was busy in Berlin but that's daylight robbery.
Motel One - HackescherMarkt - Berlin Very convenient location to the Alexanderplatz train station and buses 100 and 200. . Friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast setup. Technical setup of room quite good. If there were one drawback, the rooms were small for two people who stayed seven nights with a certain amount of luggage. The rooms were smaller than those of Motel One in Zürich and Basel. To finalize, services were very good.
The staff took into account my request. I asked for a quiet room and they gave me the top floor with no neighbours around. I am very happy about it!
It was ok, but a bit loud in the morning, due to the room being opposite the floor's cleaning room. In addition to this the room safe was defective (which I reported to the lobby).
The hotel is perfectly located close to Alexanderplatz, though the name "Hackescher Markt" sounds somewhat confusing. The room was... a standard Motel One room, clean and well-maintained. While I had a view the Stadtbahn railway line, the soundproofing of the window was quite good, so I didn't have any problems falling asleep My only point of criticism is the Breakfast. It was quite basic, there was no serious buffet area, instead, some free areas of the lobby were used. The selection was okay, but nothing more than that (apart from the pastries). The competitors offer better breakfasts. Boiled eggs were the only hot dish, and it sometimes took long for the Buffet to get replenished. Also, there were no drinking glasses in the room, something I usually like to have in a hotel in order to drink tap water not out of a several days old bottle. But that seems to be a Motel One company Policy - but why, a dishwasher isn't that expensive...
Brilliant! I couldn’t recommend it more. Excellent bed, pillows and shower. Fair price, great location and the staff always very helpful and friendly. I’ll definitely stay there again.
I love this hotel for many years and I will stay again, but must say that on my last stay I was a bit disappointed with breakfast, use to be better, better choice, buffet, better presentation and stuff was making a place cleaner during breakfast time.
Everything went well, the room was clean which is the most important. There are two points: 1. The toilet in the room seemed to be clogging up. Perhaps it needs some maintenance. 2. Upon arriving at around 1pm, we went to see if we can check-in already (aware that the official check in is at 3pm, we wanted to try our luck). The receptionist told us that there are no rooms ready yet but offered to store our luggage in the meantime. Fair enough. But then we saw another people coming in line to check in one minute later and getting a room! We went back right away and got a room too in the end. I understand that the rooms probably became available within the minute in between us being at the counter and the next customers coming in, but it would be nice if the receptionist told us that the rooms can become available any minute now and we can wait if we want (instead we were told to go away and come after 3pm "because there are no check ins before that").
Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Have stayed before and would do so again.
Great Location and friendly staff. Rooms were nice. Internet was very disappointing
I have stayed here a few times already -the location is good, the breakfast delicious and the room clean and comfortable. This and the fact that I find the staff friendly keeps me coming back. However, the room doors make a lot of noise when other customers slam them closed or maybe it's the door of supply closet that was opposite my room. I have been placed most of the time on the 2nd floor and would like to at least once enjoy the scenery of the upper floors. Another thing that I noticed this time was that the elevators do not operate with the room keys and this means that any one can walk in from the street and take the elevator to the upper floors -seems a bit unsafe given the central location of the hotel. Also I understand that the hotel emphasizes being environmentally conscious, but I would appreciate at least a garbage bin with a lid if a bag is not provided for the bin (helpful for example if one takes take-out to ones room for example, and does not wish the room smell like the food for the rest of the stay).
I stayed for 2 nights, which was one night longer than planned due to a flight cancellation. And the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating in dealing with my unexpected extended stay. The hotel itself was brilliantly located, 2 minutes walk from both the Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt train stations. It’s easy schlepping distance, even if you have luggage. The room itself was compact and comfortable. Breakfast was also great value. I have no complaints whatsoever. Highly recommended.
Good, modern hotel situated in nice area in Berlin.
Everything was excellent, the only thing I would have liked was a kettle/coffee machine in the room.
Unavoidable street and some construction noise. Am glad my room was not facing the main road though where the train noise would have been stronger. TV feels outdated. There is just junk on all those TV channels and the image quality is not great. No Netflix or similar and only Android devices can be connected.
Nice rooms, perfect shower.
No fridge
Very comfortable room with everything we needed and very helpful staff. Good location from which to access public transport to explore Berlin.
Perfect location, perfect service, clean and even during busy football times calm
My original room was extremely stinky. It was an overpowering smell and the room should never have been in use for customers in that condition. I am happy that another room was available and I could change rooms.
Motel one is a wonderful place to stay. Comfortable, clean, central location.Helpful staff
We are very much experienced with Motel One hotels. This hotel is well located but this is probably the only advantage it has and giving the fact that Berlin has very effective transportation system, this location is less important. The neighboring hotel in Alexanderplatz is much better.
I am a regular MotelOne customer and stay consistently in Berlin, Brussels, Manchester and other locations. My stay was great and Hakescher is a perfect location. My only suggestion is that in Manchester we had a kettle and some coffee in the room, and it would have been nice to have it in this location as well. But it's very minor and Hakescher is really a perfect location.
Hotel was clean, appearance was good and staff were helpful. Breakfast was fine, Very surprised no coffee machine or kettle in the room, first hotel anywhere that didn't have this. When I paid for a tea downstairs it was expensive.
Hotel is great! Location is perfect for going around the Berlin Mitte. The room was fine, as I expected as this is my second visit here. The staff is helpful and nice.
The room was clean and cozy. However, a hot water kettle was missing (it is not a coffee, tea set, just a kettle to boil water). There is no reason to buy a cup of tea for 4 euros when you are in your hotel room. The soap kit is also not convenient
Compared to other Motel One-hotels, customer service wasn't very good.
Fantastic staff at the reception and everyone I met was so friendly
The reception was very friendly, but happened to have technical difficulties that day. The bathroom had a really faul smell to it. I am guessing the drain needs to be cleaned. Additionally, the water temperature is really hard to control. The temperature always fluctuates a bit and it can get really hot. The pillows were quite soft (which is quite rare in hotels), but my nose always gets clocked within a couple of minutes. It's right next to a tram, so you can get around quickly, but it poses it's own problems noice wise. The breakfast is consistently good. The hot chocolate just doesn't taste that good.
It was so nice to stay
Our first experience of Motel One, and we had a really comfortable and relaxing stay. We would definitely choose you again. Thank you. Our only problem was the shower tending to flood the bathroom floor, but we managed to improve that on our second night.
very nice room, sound proof windows, friendly staff. The only thing not so cool is thw price of the breakfast and what you get. Good options for vegans though
Very nice hotel, and situated in a great location
Nice hotel in the middel of the city. Clean rooms, friendly staff, scroll bar and a very ordinary breakfast.
