Clean hotel, friendly staff.
Great hotel and it's were I stay everytime I go to Glasgow why go anywhere else when motel 1 is the best one in Glasgow to stay at
Amazing reception staff make this hotel. So friendly and chatty. Room was clean but needs a little updating- plug sockets don't have USB ports for example. Great location and quiet rooms.
Horrendous queue at check in despite plenty of staff being on duty, could look at staggering check in times
Fantastic place to stay, myself and friend were here for 3 nights before a concert. Check in was smooth and quick, room was great size, comfiest mattress and pillows I've ever slept on, enough space to hang clothes plenty sockets to charge phone etc. The bar area was such a lovely place to sit and chill, breakfast was faultless and perfect location for everything
I always stay at Motel One Glasgow for several reasons: 1) central locations, 2) quiet rooms, 3) reasonable price, 4) delightful staff 5) quick access to both train stations. I have only 1 recommendation: replace the paper cups for hot beverages with ceramic cups : the paper cups leak 75% of the time. It’s messy and potentially dangerous.
Really good value and fantastic location. Being able to book at the reception desk would have been nice but it was easy enough to book on phone from the bar area.
A lovely hotel and I stay here for most of my Glasgow visits. Friendly staff, the rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Over all was a good stay. For the price of £420 for two nights I would have expected breakfast, some hotels around Glasgow are priced at the same price or lower along with breakfast. The room was cleaned to a good standard, the room was a bit small but comfortable, although again I would expect a little better as far as room size goes for the price I paid. Over all a good hotel with a friendly atmosphere and I would consider returning.
Low score because of the heating in the room. I believe you use a AI driven system based on the outside temperature. This is not explained on arrival, there is no way to individually adjusting the room temperature so everyone on the same floor has the same room temp regardless if that is their preference. I like a cooler room but I was unable to bring the room temperature down and had two uncomfortable nights (in Glasgow and Edinburgh). I was advised by reception on departure that if I wish to cool the room by opening the window I need to have turned off the room system, otherwise the AI keeps the room the same temperature. Also if I prefer a cooler room I should ask for (with hindsight!) a room on the lower floors as heat rises! The 11th floor in Glasgow was very warm indeed!. I suggest you inform guests at booking or at least when they check in as to how room temperature works in Motel One then they make an informed choice. As a frequent business traveller this experience has put me off booking Motel one in the future.
We had a wonderful stay when leaving early from central station Glasgow. Very busy when we arrived (st Patrick’s day) , staff were excellent took our luggage and stored it allowing us to start our break. All staff went above and beyond to make these two guests very comfortable
Everything was excellent. The check in was efficient and bonus points for spotting a mobility issue and putting us close to the lift. The location is very central and close to bus and train stops. The reception area is very attractive and pleasant to sit it. What I particularly liked was the breakfast as they had some really nice and interesting items like pots of overnight oats and varied breads. All in all a fantastic stay.
Would have given a much higher score if the room temperature hadn't been so unbearable. After checking with hotel staff it didn't seem anything could be done about it using the heating/cooling system. We got a fan in the end but surely something can be done about this? I see more reviews stating the same so it is obviously a known issue
Overall our stay was good, the hotel was located close to the venue we were frequenting over the weekend.
The room was nice enough. The bed was fantastic however there was quite a bit of mold in the bathroom and when we arrived we explained the the reception staff that we had travelled for a large music festival and that it started at 4pm which meant that we didn't have much time and if we could check in early it was 2.30pm at the time and it would be helpful so we didn't miss any of our event. They told us no as check in time is 3pm. With all the seats in reception and the var full we had to carry our suitcases and bags around the city until check in when we arrived back at 3pm the queue was the entire length of the hotel and bar. This resulted in a 50 min wait to get checked in while holding our bags as there wasn't enough room to put them on the floor as there was that many people waiting to get checked in. It also resulted in us missing the first 2 performers of the festival we were there to see.
Great location, clean rooms and great staff.
Hotel was so handy, close to everything. Staff were all very friendly. Room as great for what we needed. Only complaint was it was VERY hot.
Lovely hotel. Great staff. Nice room but a wee bit small. Stayed 2 nights and unfortunately at 2am someone set of the fire alarm. The shock of the volume of the alarm in the room set off my heart and I ended up in an ambulance. The staff on duty were fantastic when this happened. The duty manager brilliant. I would stay again but the volume of the in room alarm is to high.
Fantastic location,so near train station. Very warm welcome, helpful desk staff. Great room, clean and quiet. Walls and curtains looking a little mucky, lack of respect from previous guests rather than anything to do with hotel . Lovely reception area to sit and relax. Excellent midday checkout time and looking after baggage securely until time to leave at end of day, plus able to use amenities which was really appreciated before long journey. Would recommend.
Really liked the hotel and room. Had to ask reception where the switch was on the bedside lamps but otherwise the room was perfectly utilised with bathroom fixtures, large TV, adequate hanging space and nice design touches. I was slightly irritated by the 3pm check-in as I had an afternoon function to attend on the edger of the city, so I will probably catch a later flight next time. Having read previous reviews, I brought my own coffee mug (and coffee & spoon), as I think Net Zero may have had its day, for me at least.
lovely room with excellent bathroom . Polite and efficient staff . Excellent position for city centre and central station .
Everything was excellent indeed and value for money. The hotel is strategically positioned by the city centre and the main train station.
Nice and clean and friendly efficient staff
Fantastic location makes visiting the sites of Glasgow accessible.
Such a good location/service and the lobby area was so nice of an evening. good value for money
Really enjoyable stay :)
Great location, comfortable - have stayed a number of times and consistent .
Really liked the hotel. Friendly welcoming staff, lovely bright room, reasonable price. Didn’t like the paper cups - took the enjoyment out of my early morning cuppa. Also would have liked a bin in the bedroom as well as the bathroom.
Your customer service was incredibly good as I had issues with booking through a company, 1 of ur staff helped me out on 13.03.25 can't Member his name but should be praised for going above and beyond to assist
Beautifully clean, organised and very friendly & helpful staff. Very comfortable bed, quiet room with good heating controls. Excellent location.
Lovely surroundings and efficient, friendly staff.
I stayed in motel one for one night. The hotel was stunning when I walking into reception. We arrived early and thankfully was able to check in. The room was perfect, cleans and comfy for one night.
Staff are always great and rooms are clean and tidy - was slightly different stay as we had a fire evacuation at around midnight
The best value for money, comfortable stay, wonderful staff
Great location. Very comfortable rooms. Helpful staff.
Great value and excellent staff at the reception desk
Lovely hotel, beautiful room, very comfortable bed couldn't fault anything
Lovely hotel - warmly greeted when I arrived. Room was smart. Stayed on floor 4 - quite noisy outside from buses etc but didn't disturb my sleep. Oh and and couldn't get TV to work. Otherwise all was fine.
I always stay in Motel One when I am in Glasgow, it’s central and next to the shops, train station and motorway. Lovely decor and the Reception and Lounge areas are quirky and have a nice Scottish feel to them. Disappointed this time however as I had asked Reception for clean towels one of the days and when I returned late to the hotel no fresh towels had been put in the room. Also when the room had been “cleaned” the tables and shelf had not been dusted, and a bag of rubbish had not been taken away! Some members of staff were not as smartly presented as other staff members, however all were very friendly. This won’t stop me returning to stay at the Hotel but hopefully what I have said will be taken on board.
Great room with great views..very comfortable bed and soundproof rooms. All the staff very friendly and helpful.
Brilliant location, friendly team, comfy bed and good night’s sleep.
Very welcoming...lovely room and a very comfortable experience...will definetly be back
The public area was lovely and new. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and modern but small. Good location in the centre of Glasgow, next to Central train station.
Excellently situated, smart, clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast plain and Germanic but quite sufficient. Room quiet and comfortable.
Great experience only thing is my wife was moaning that you have no table with mirror in front of it to get ready to go out in the room
Good price, modern hotel
I enjoyed 2 nights stay at Motel One in Glasgow. Excellent location just opposit Central station, very convenient for shopping/eating/sightseeing. The room was clean, modern and quiet despite the central location.
Motel one Glasgow is well positioned in the middle of the city, ideal for nights out, events and gigs. Super comfortable beds and pillows and a fab selection from the continental breakfast. Most definitely my default for accommodation for both work and pleasure trips. We’ll be back!
Motel One Glasgow offers a great experience that includes helpful staff, clean rooms, healthy breakfast and an excellent lounge area to relax and unwind after a hard day working.
Dobre położenie blisko do centrum , super bar dlugo czynny ,przestronne logby za taką cenę naprawdę godny polecenia.

Następny przystanek: Glasgow!
6 ważnych powodów, dla których warto odwiedzić „Glaschu”
Wiecznie zielone
Piękne i niedrogie
Atrakcje
Gin71.
Położenie i okolica
Romantyzm kolei połączony z designem
Nasz niedrogi designerski hotel położony bezpośrednio przy Glasgow Central Station w całości nawiązuje do romantyzmu kolei żelaznej. W hotelu Motel One Glasgow połączyliśmy przemysłowy charakter techniki kolejowej i torowej z niezwykłymi emocjami towarzyszącymi podróży pociągiem.
Regały i stoły z wysokiej jakości mosiężnymi elementami wprowadzają w przemysłową przeszłość Glasgow, a dopełnienie koncepcji wystroju stanowią lampy ścienne Aldo Bernardiego.
Mungo. Odjazd!
