I have stayed at several Motel One locations but this was my first stay in Zurich. Everything was excellent per usual and the staff was always helpful and friendly. The ONLY thing I would recommend is that the waste and recycling bins are in the courtyard in the middle of the hotel. So when the night bartender goes out and dumps all the empty bottles into the bin at 2:00am it woke me up every night I was there. Maybe wait until morning? Otherwise everything is perfect.
Everything was great - things I would see room to improve: - breakfast to be included in the booking - bathroom (shower/door) - wifi - tv /channels or smart tv to connect from phone
Georgia (spelling is incorrect) and Luna in the bar were fantastic. Great at recommending areas to see in the area, and the service was fantastic! Only thing that I would change is if the bartenders could have control over the music! Would be great to have some festive music during the holidays!

Great Hotel
Very good hotel and very well located ;-)
This is een excellent hotel, close to the city centre. Rooms are spacious, and breakfast is good. There’s a nice (gin) bar in the hotel, which serves till late (I was there till midnight); in case you don’t want to walk to the centre (5 min on foot). Staff were friendly and efficient; recommended!
The room is not equipped for staying more than 1-2 nights.

Well placed in Zürich. Italian style shower not very practical. Very nice breakfast buffet, but people are rushing on it when it's crowdy. Very cool and friendly lady at reception. Very accommodating to choose a room or leave the suitcase. The room was too hot, cannot control the heat. The TV that turns on all the time is a bit annoying.
Lina was incredibly friendly, competent and efficient (she even helped me with my German speaking!) We have had a wonderful stay at the hotel and are delighted with everything. We can’t wait to come back.

Very friendly employees and a good room. Clean (besides a hidden empty bottle) and well-equipped. Could sometimes use a water boiler and some tea/coffee.

Het is geen 10 want het ontbijt kan nog net iets beter door het ontbijt iets te upgraden (met scrambled egg, spek, etc.). Ontbijt is vefgeleken met de rest van de entourage, bar, lounge, kamers net iets te eenvoudig.
We just stayed for a single night on our way home from a vacation. The room was immaculate. The bed was comfortable and all amenities were excellent. Front desk staff was helpful and did their job effectively to make our overnight stay good.

Love the Motel One brand. Quirky, fun and so comfortable . For those of us traveling internationally and arriving late, PMEASE DO SOMETHING about the thin, tasteless and very expensive sandwiches in the bar. You would make money hand over fist if you offered a couple of stellar bar sandwiches. People would stay and drink more
I stayed for a week at the Zurich Motel One. From check-in, and throughout my stay, the staff were excellent. Welcoming, friendly, and always helpful and smiling. I forgot my Swiss plug adapters and I was provided with 2 from the front desk for use while I was there. "No worries, I got you." My room and all the common areas were clean and fresh. Stay here, you won't be disappointed. My one nit pick would be that the breakfast was all the same offerings every day. It would be nice to have a variety of rotating options.
Generally an excellent experience. However, I was staying in Room 171, which was sold as the mid tier "Special One" room. The room is situated directly under the walkway between the two parts of the hotel. Because of this, the room receives no natural sun/day light at all. This made the room very dark most of the time. Despite the larger room size, I don't think it is fair to charge more for this room due to the lack of natural light. Also, I could not have the windows open as this was also the area that received deliveries, and was also used by staff on their smoking breaks and, with the windows open for fresh air, there was constant noise from outside. I understand some noise is unavoidable especially from deliveries. The noise of people chatting on their breaks echoed in the space under the walkway which made the situation worse. I chose not to bring it up with the Reception team at the time as I wanted to focus on enjoying my holiday. Other than this issue, I could not fault the hotel, the service we received from everybody or any other aspect of my stay.

Always the same feed back, overall very good experience. Missing tea of coffee in the rooms or at least on the floor. I hate having to go to the bar to get hot water before sleeping
Net hotel, vriendelijke bediening en voor Zwitserse normen redelijke prijs en kwaliteit verhouding. Tarieven van consumpties in de bar zijn te hoog tov andere etablissementen in de buurt. Ontbijt is heel karig en onvoldoende.
De warmte van de hotelkamers is echt te hoog om goed te kunnen slapen, zelfs met het raam open bracht dit te weining verkoeling. Helaas heb ik zelf 2x CHF 20 moeten bij betalen om een buro te hebben in mijn kamer waar ik fatsoenlijk met mijn laptop kon werken

Excellente locatie, rustig hotel
Wij zijn trouwe klanten van Motel One‐ keten en wij plannen om te logeren bij alle deze hotel's in Europa .In sommige,meer dan een keer. De hotel's zijn identiek en toch apart door een thema. En de parking onder hotel is de LUXE...Dat heeft Zurich Motel One NIET. Geen compensatie. Wel, hij is nog 100 euros duurder dan anderen...
Zeer goed hotel met vriendelijk personeel en op een goede locatie.
Onvriendelijk en onbeschofte behandeling frontdesk personeel. Zijn alleen met zichzelf bezig en niet met de gasten. Personeel in de bar idem. Laatste keer dat ik met relaties heb geboekt in dit motel.
Prima kamer, maar ik sliep boven de containers. En ik hoorde ‘s nachts dus ongedierte lopen…. Normaal slaap ik met m’n raam open maar heb ik nu dus dicht gedaan. Heb het bij de receptie gemeld, maar die reageerde niet heel begripvol.
Zeer goed geluid isolerende ramen en deuren. Zeer proper.
Alles prima, behalve het ventilatiesysteem, deze had een onfrisse geur.

Fijn hotel, schoon, rustig en goed centraal gelegen. Ook heb ik genoten van de binnentuin. Een waterkoker op de kamer zou fijn zijn.

Welkom in het Motel One van Zürich! Hier draait alles om de bergen, chocolade en de Zürichsee.
Als u de lobby binnenstapt, waant u zich in de Zwitserse Alpen door de gordijnen met hun schilderachtige silhouetten die zijn ontworpen door de Zwitserse firma Christian Fischbacher. In onze One Lounge wordt u tijdens het gezonde ontbijt vergezeld van sfeervolle foto's van de nabijgelegen Zürichsee, zoals een origineel Boesch- bootmodel. Zo krijgt u meteen zin om een dagje aan het meer door te brengen. Onze bar daarentegen staat helemaal in het teken van de absolute topper onder de Zwitserse exportproducten... Hier draait namelijk alles om chocolade: aan het plafond hangen chocoladedruppels en boven de bar blinkt het gouden chocoladepapier. Dan krijgt u toch gewoon zin om de verrukkelijke chocolade te proeven, niet?
Ons Design Hotel in Zürich bevindt zich in de binnenstad, in de buurt van de Oude Botanische Tuin aan de Schanzengraben. De Paradeplatz en de Bahnhofstrasse, de kathedraal Grossmünster en andere bezienswaardigheden in het centrum liggen op wandelafstand. Ook het Centraal Station ligt dichtbij en de Zürichsee is maar even wandelen.
