Overall was good, shower pressure was poor, room had a funny smell under the tea making unit (room 436) On the whole though was nice and I’d stay again.

The hotel is modern and in good condition and the rooms very clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Our company didn't like being asked to check in by 6pm or lose our rooms particularly when we booked 4 rooms and have never failed to show up/stay previously
Excellent location, room comfortable, staff pleasant and polite, breakfast really good. Only downside was extortionate bar prices for drinks (2 small glasses of wine £13.75 which we didn't pay).
Good price and value for money hotel and we got a free room upgrade. Only downside was our room was not cleaned while we where there.
Good location, nice staff and a clean hotel. The only issue about breakfast: If you are a fan of British breakfast, the only Continental breakfast is served in this hotel. The other issue is about Car Park. You have to park in the Car Parks in the vicinity of the hotel.
Hotel is ideally located at heart of city. Staff are welcoming, helpful and polite. The hotel is clean, and tidy, and offers ideal services for guests staying. My room was snug, but clean and suitable for all my needs. Breakfast was fantastic,. Overall the hotel was good value for money and I would definitely recommend the hotel as an ideal place to stay
Great location plus great value for money
We love staying at the MotelOne in Newcastle; it is a lovely base for our visits to the city and its central position is amazing. The staff are delightful - both at reception and the cleaning staff. However there are two things that would make it even better. 1) the wifi is extremely poor - essentially non-existent. I would suggest you either improve it significantly or do not advertise it as a feature; it simply isn't. 2) the heating was just too much - and it was impossible to cool the room. This has happened on all our visits and it would be great if your management could have a look at how this might be improved. Thank you for looking after us.
Excellent hotel and location .. only issue was noise in the morning from the construction site. The work began at 0830 and was constant until we checked out at 1100. It kind of spoilt a good stay
The hotel is lovely and the room is suitable for price, but it was way too hot. Even with the window open in the winter.

Clean comfortable hotel - good place to chill out. Friendly staff. Only negative is that the rooms are quite small - not a lot of room for bags etc.
Really enjoyable stay at a very busy time of the year. convenient distance for all the places I wanted to visit. My only criticism was the tea/coffee shelf was not as clean as the drips showed when the shelf was up and did not make a good impression. My last night of stay was a tadge disturbed, but this was not a fault of the hotel more of an ambitious couple above me whose clumsy antics were somewhat noisy, at times amusing.
The low score is purely because our room (6th floor) was much too hot to sleep in. We were unable to lower the temperature using the thermostat and slept (badly) with the window and curtains open. It was December but relatively mild outside. This being said the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. We did not eat/drink in the hotel. All staff were very polite and check in quite straightforward. The location was perfect for visiting Newcastle city centre.

I love this hotel, and is my number one pick when I come to Newcastle. The staff are friendly, the rooms are nice, the bed comfy. The only thing that could be better is if the breakfast was cooked, rather than just continental, but that's a small gripe - there is still a good choice.

Absolutely fantastic stay in the centre of Newcastle. Everything was first class, from the simple checking in system, friendly reception staff, well equipped rooms and the bar and eating area which had a lovely relaxed atmosphere 😀

I have to admit the name Motel One made be anticipate quite a basic standard. I was wrong. The hotel was smart, spacious, clean, well equipped and the staff were lovely. The breakfast and bar service were excellent to.
Slight issue on check in with rooms being mixed up and being sent to a room already occupied by someone else. Room was very small (especially bathroom) but was clean and adequate for one person. Communal areas tidy and well maintained. Breakfast options could be better.

Stayed at Motelone in Edinburgh And loved our stay we were looking for Hotel in Newcastle for an overnight stay and had no hesitation in booking Motel one and would definitely stay again and recommend to friends
Room 334 mattress was not good and needs changing, was old and curved in on the left hand side looking towards the bed. Toilet does not flush properly.
Ruime kamers met alles wat je nodig hebt. Weinig lawaai door de weeks en super vriendelijke bediening. Matrassen zijn helaas oud en doorgezakt.

Goede kamer met raam dat geopend kan worden, prima ontbijt, vriendelijk personeel en erg goede service.
Nette kamer, in ochtend gewekt door brandalarm, wat later vals bleek , maar wel zeker 20 minuten aanhield. Geen uitleg bij de receptie of excuses, jammer.
Comfortabel hotel met goede centrale ligging. Vriendelijk personeel. Goed ontbijt. We hadden een kamer op de 6e etage. Deze kamer was schoon en netjes. Echter onplezierig warm. Temperatuur was niet te reguleren met de airco.
Hier al enkele keren geboekt. Prima kamers, maar wat aan de krappe kant, vooral als je de overdaad aan aan kussens ergens kwijt wilt. Prima bed, echter zo strak opgemaakt dat als je eenmaal onder het dekbed ligt en het wat meer naar je toe wilt trekken er geen beweging in te krijgen is. Je moet dan echt weer uit bed om het dekbed vooral aan het voeteneinde met geweld los te krijgen.Prima badkamer en TV. Ook ontbijt prima en ruim voldoende.
Mooi stijlvol hotel midden in de stad aan een rustig straatje en tussen de gezellige bars, pubs en reataurants. Bijna alle bezienswaardigheden van Newcastle op loopafstand. Prettige ontvangst en gastvrij personeel. Geen gebruik gemaakt van de bar en weinig vegan opties voor het ontbijt, vandaar de wat lagere rating maar het is voor het overige prima verzorgd. Leuk detail is dat er gebruik gemaakt wordt van locale producten. Een prima hotel tegen een heel gunstige prijs!

Vriendelijke ontvangst bij de receptie. Mooie, ruime, schone kamer. Kingsize bed was heerlijk! Badkamer modern en strak en schoon. Luxe lounge, fijne fauteuils om in plaats te nemen. Het hotel is gesitueerd midden in het centrum van de stad. Toch geen herrie van buiten gehoord.
Prima hotel op goede lokatie. Alle Motel One hotels hebben zelfde sfeer en uitstraling: modern, comfortabel en vriendelijk. Deze ligt in het centrum van Newcastle.
Hele fijne ervaring, alleen moest ik plots €90,- extra afrekenen bij de receptie?
Blijft goed hotel op centrale locatie. Erg jammer dat je kamer niet wordt schoongemaakt. Bed wordt dichtgelegd, prullenbak geleegd en als het meezit worden handdoeken vervangen. Misschien komt dit door zeerkort verblijf van veel hotelgasten. Wij verbleven5 nachten in het hotel, dan verwacht je wel dat in ieder geval de badkamer wordt schoongemaakt. Bij aankomst was de kamer overigens wel keurig netjes.
Mooie hotelkamer met alles wat er hoort te zijn. Schone kamer met een goed bed. Vriendelijke mensen achter de balie. En midden in het (uitgaans) centrum van Newcastle.

Ons Motel One Newcastle in het hartje van de stad heeft met zijn onafgewerkte bakstenen muren iets charmants. De industriële stijl van de authentieke bakstenengevel herinnert aan de geschiedenis van de arbeidersstad. Aan de binnenkant zijn de bruggen over de Tyne in het design verwerkt en de stijlvolle bar in de industriële look brengt ere aan Robert Stephenson, de uitvinder van The Rocket zoals de stoomlocomotief ook wel eens wordt genoemd. Meubels in echt leder van Baxter en hoogwaardige tapijten van Jan Kath maken de industriële look helemaal af. Verfijnde details zoals stoelen van Arketipo met een opvallend stalen frame of de spiegelkast met whiskeykaraffen geven het interieur een charmante touch.
Dat de gestreepte behang aan de receptie niet alleen heel erg Brits ogen maar ook het beeld van de truitjes van Newcastle United oproepen, is natuurlijk geen toeval. Ook de ligging in het historische centrum past geheel in de industrieel-moderne stijl van ons voordelige Design Hotel. Bezienswaardigheden zoals het Theatre Royal, het Grey’s Monument en het stadhuis van Newcastle liggen op een steenworp van het hotel. Ook heel handig is het feit dat het Centraal Station en de luchthaven goed bereikbaar zijn.
Boek nu een kamer in ons voordelige Design Hotel en ervaar het designcontrast tussen de 'oude' industrie en het 'nieuwe' moderne karakter van de stad.
