Overall was good, shower pressure was poor, room had a funny smell under the tea making unit (room 436) On the whole though was nice and I’d stay again.

The hotel is modern and in good condition and the rooms very clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Our company didn't like being asked to check in by 6pm or lose our rooms particularly when we booked 4 rooms and have never failed to show up/stay previously
Excellent location, room comfortable, staff pleasant and polite, breakfast really good. Only downside was extortionate bar prices for drinks (2 small glasses of wine £13.75 which we didn't pay).
Good price and value for money hotel and we got a free room upgrade. Only downside was our room was not cleaned while we where there.
Good location, nice staff and a clean hotel. The only issue about breakfast: If you are a fan of British breakfast, the only Continental breakfast is served in this hotel. The other issue is about Car Park. You have to park in the Car Parks in the vicinity of the hotel.
Hotel is ideally located at heart of city. Staff are welcoming, helpful and polite. The hotel is clean, and tidy, and offers ideal services for guests staying. My room was snug, but clean and suitable for all my needs. Breakfast was fantastic,. Overall the hotel was good value for money and I would definitely recommend the hotel as an ideal place to stay
Great location plus great value for money
We love staying at the MotelOne in Newcastle; it is a lovely base for our visits to the city and its central position is amazing. The staff are delightful - both at reception and the cleaning staff. However there are two things that would make it even better. 1) the wifi is extremely poor - essentially non-existent. I would suggest you either improve it significantly or do not advertise it as a feature; it simply isn't. 2) the heating was just too much - and it was impossible to cool the room. This has happened on all our visits and it would be great if your management could have a look at how this might be improved. Thank you for looking after us.
Excellent hotel and location .. only issue was noise in the morning from the construction site. The work began at 0830 and was constant until we checked out at 1100. It kind of spoilt a good stay
The hotel is lovely and the room is suitable for price, but it was way too hot. Even with the window open in the winter.

Clean comfortable hotel - good place to chill out. Friendly staff. Only negative is that the rooms are quite small - not a lot of room for bags etc.
Really enjoyable stay at a very busy time of the year. convenient distance for all the places I wanted to visit. My only criticism was the tea/coffee shelf was not as clean as the drips showed when the shelf was up and did not make a good impression. My last night of stay was a tadge disturbed, but this was not a fault of the hotel more of an ambitious couple above me whose clumsy antics were somewhat noisy, at times amusing.
The low score is purely because our room (6th floor) was much too hot to sleep in. We were unable to lower the temperature using the thermostat and slept (badly) with the window and curtains open. It was December but relatively mild outside. This being said the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. We did not eat/drink in the hotel. All staff were very polite and check in quite straightforward. The location was perfect for visiting Newcastle city centre.

I love this hotel, and is my number one pick when I come to Newcastle. The staff are friendly, the rooms are nice, the bed comfy. The only thing that could be better is if the breakfast was cooked, rather than just continental, but that's a small gripe - there is still a good choice.

Absolutely fantastic stay in the centre of Newcastle. Everything was first class, from the simple checking in system, friendly reception staff, well equipped rooms and the bar and eating area which had a lovely relaxed atmosphere 😀

I have to admit the name Motel One made be anticipate quite a basic standard. I was wrong. The hotel was smart, spacious, clean, well equipped and the staff were lovely. The breakfast and bar service were excellent to.
Slight issue on check in with rooms being mixed up and being sent to a room already occupied by someone else. Room was very small (especially bathroom) but was clean and adequate for one person. Communal areas tidy and well maintained. Breakfast options could be better.

Stayed at Motelone in Edinburgh And loved our stay we were looking for Hotel in Newcastle for an overnight stay and had no hesitation in booking Motel one and would definitely stay again and recommend to friends
Room 334 mattress was not good and needs changing, was old and curved in on the left hand side looking towards the bed. Toilet does not flush properly.

This was our third stay at the hotel - with grown up children studying in Newcastle the hotel is ideal for stays to visit. It’s clean, friendly and so central to everything.
Everything was spot on, staff, room, price and hospitality……could not be improved on, great.
Great location and value for money. The room was very small with hardly any room to open suitcase and no dressing table with mirror, seat and socket so had to sit on floor to use mirror to dry hair. But public areas and bar are excellent. Reception staff were very good and helpful too. Stayed 3 times now so obviously like it!
Our stay was great. Rooms immaculate and all of your team members were super friendly. Rachel in particular always looks after us and sorted rooms next to each other for us. Nothing is ever a problem and your team always looks after us.

Bel hôtel, très bien situé à 6 mn à pied la gare centrale et du métro (qui relie l’aéroport international). En plein centre ville entouré de bars et restaurants, près des monuments (cathédrale, château…) et 1/4 h à pied du stade de football St James Park. Personnel agréable, propreté de l’hôtel et des chambres, bar (ouvert toute la nuit) et salons superbes ! Tout était parfait

J'ai été satisfait de façon générale. Ma principale remarque concerne le peu de place pour le rangement des vêtements.
La chambre, bien qu'exiguë, était d'une propreté immaculée, comme d'habitude chez vous. Lit confortable, serviettes +++, personnel accueillant et serviable, proximité de la gare et du centre-ville. Hélas, vue très limitée sur un mur d'entrepôt... C'est un peu triste. Autre problème, la température, assez basse (difficile de régler le chauffage). Par ailleurs, pourquoi continuer d'utiliser de la petite vaisselle jetable pour la collation ?
Les chambres sont un peu petites mais confortables. Il y a tout ce dont vous avez besoin. Un peu bruyant, surtout le week-end...
Bonjour, Dans le contexte actuel du changement climatique, il me parait particulièrement triste, voir ridicule, de mettre la climatisation, aussi forte, qui plus est au royaume uni. Tous les clients avaient des pulls au petit déj. Quelle perte d'énergie!

Notre Motel One Newcastle situé au cœur de la ville est teinté du charme des briques apparentes. Le style industriel de la façade authentique en briques rappelle le passé de ville ouvrière de Newcastle. À l’intérieur, les ponts sur la Tyne, thème déterminant de notre décor caractérisent le design. Quant au bar stylé au look industriel, il met en valeur les exploits du créateur de la locomotive à vapeur, Robert Stephenson. Des fauteuils et canapés en cuir Baxter et des tapis de grande qualité de Jan Kath complètent le look industriel. La tapisserie à rayures très british à la réception rappelle aussi volontairement les maillots de l’équipe de football Newcastle United. La situation de l’hôtel dans le centre historique convient au style industriel et moderne de notre hôtel design. Les attractions touristiques telles que le Theatre Royal, la statue de Charles Grey (Grey’s monument) et l’hôtel de ville ne sont qu’à un jet de pierre. La proximité avec la gare centrale et l’aéroport sera également pratique pour vos déplacements.
