Top Hotel in Top Lage.
All the employees were outstanding. That said, I would like to explain an accident that I had: upon trying to exit the elevator on my floor, my suitcase wheels became stuck in the gap between the elevator itself and the floor. My bags fell over and I went down as well, injuring my right side - several muscles became strained. The hotel manager, Alexander, was very concerned for my well-being, and as compensation for my injury, comped all my breakfasts and lowered the daily room charges. Needless to say, I was extremely grateful. Two of the bartenders, LUKA and PATRICIA, were very helpful, when it came to anticipating my bar orders - COKE ZERO. I do not drink alcoholic beverages; yet they both were welcoming towards me. One final mention: I am a disabled person and need to walk with a cane. It is difficult for me to manipulate my bags. LUKA literally came to my rescue! He came to my room at 0700 hours to assist me with my bags and then walked with me all the way to the CENTRAL TRAIN STATION and got me situated there so that I was able to eventually get to my train on time. HATS OFF TO LUKA!!! HE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! I will be returning to this MOTEL ONE on my way back to America, because of Luka's actions on my behalf.
Very clean, modern hotel with friendly staff. The rooms are very small, but absolutely ok for an overnight stay. There is very little traffic around the hotel, so it is very quiet. The breakfast menu for 17 EUR is not worth it.

It was inadmissible to share with our family (two rooms 4 people) a two days, only that "We would like to inform you that construction work is currently being carried out at our Motel One Leipzig-Nikolaikirche. The work will take place during the following timeframes: Monday to Friday: 07:00 - 20:00 hrs It was unberable and impossible to rest. We rate in 1, but the truth is that we should have left a reclamation form in your book.

Great location, next to Nikolai Kirche only a very short stroll away from market square, museums, shops, university, opera and the train station. Rooms are modern, clean but quite basic. No kettle to make tea or coffee. Breakfast quite expensive - €16.50 for a continental breakfast buffet with self-service and a rather small selection. Lots of bakeries and coffee shops just around the corner offering the same for less. In summary: can't beat the location and the really friendly and helpful staff but rooms could be hugely improved by adding a kettle or tea/coffee making facility.
The hotel is located in the city center, a few minutes away from the train station and close to all the shops and restaurants.
Location was great! Our room had a musty smell to it and our son and his wife's room had a sewer-like smell to it - certainly not what we expected. The breakfast was very disappointing.
Lovely hotel in a wonderful location. We have stayed here several times and were never disappointed.

The beds are super comfortable, the rooms are quiet and the breakfast is very good. Everything I'm looking for in a hotel is provided. And the location is also super as it is directly in the heart of the city of Leipzig.

The breakfast you are serving is rather normal. As we do not eat a lot in the morning, your charge seems rather high. Thus, we prefer to look for a bakery in the neighbourhood. Just check whether a small breakfast in addition to your service could be reasonable. Free WiFi should be normal and I wonder why everybody makes such a fuss about it. Why is English your standard?

Missing amenities such as a safe, iron and ironing board. These are essentials for people travelling for business. Breakfast could include warm side dishes such as scrambled eggs, bacon, etc. Staff was very friendly and competent.
Very nice, outstanding personnel, excellent location. Avery late check-in (15.00) is the only reason I did not give a solid 10, also not including breakfast in the price, but this is now common practice everywhere.

Clean and cosy, exceptionally friendly staff. What would make it a then would be either a coffee machine accessible during the day, or a water boiler in the room.

I was booked via my university. Either they made a mistake or Motel One did, but instead of 3 nights I was booked for 1. These things happen, that is fine. But I was not informed of this mistake nor was the program. So when I arrived at the hotel later that evening, all of my things had been removed from the room and I was informed to pay privatetly for a new night. Again, these things happen but you should try to inform the guests via email, phone, or something that you are removing their private things from the room because of a booking error. What is that?!!?

I was there during Bachfest - so a little more expensive.I was happy to comply with the opting out of having my room serviced every day. However I would have like the rubbish bin to be emptied every day.
Very happy with my stay here. Motel One is always great quality for money. I stayed two days with my family what was half business, half leisure.
Uncleaned room (a piece of underwear was hanging at the window). Very high price. Breakfast room too small and the waiters are too few and do not have time to clean the tables after use for the next guest.
All very good. Only one tiny thing is, I expected some bottled water in the room (in general, for a hotel of this category, but in particular, because I joined the beOne club when booking and seem to recall that was a 'benefit') Note the 'value for money' question is difficult for me, as I visited on the night of an EM game in Leipzig, so it was far more expensive than I'd expected, but still good value compared to other hotels in the city centre.
Breakfast was poor compared to other Motel Ones and cold water only on day of departure!

I felt very good to stay there because it was close to the events of the Bach Music festival.Nice room and friendly staff.Good breakfast;so all in all a nice stay.I was a bit unhappy that the hotel increased the room rate in the middle of my stay,possibly because of the football games.
Dommage que la réception, alors qu'ils étaient prêt, n'a pas accepté directement que nous puissions accéder au petit déjeuné (payé) à 6h45 le samedi (ouverture normale à 7h) alors que nous devions partir à 7h15 au plus tard pour aller prendre un avion. Il y a un petit manque de flexibilité. Après avoir bataillé, on a pu déjeuner à 6h55 ... Heureusement la gentillesse et le professionnalisme de la barmaid sur le séjour permets de relever la note globale
Chambre et salle de bains assez petites. Très calme malgré l'emplacement en plein centre de la ville. Accès en voiture compliqué par la situation de l'hôtel en pleine zone piétonne.
Très bon accueil, chambres très propres, bien décorées, agréables. Hôtel très bien situé en centre ville. Bar très plaisant et ouvert tard. Petit déjeuner très convenable et abondant.
Les travaux qui commencent à 7h du matin, c'est peut-être legal mais commercialement c'est inadmissible

Séjournez là où l’histoire s’est écrite. L’église Saint-Nicolas de Leipzig fut l’épicentre de la révolution pacifique en RDA en 1989 qui devait ensuite mener à la chute du mur de Berlin. Dans notre « Bar 89 », nous affichons les moments-clés et les événements de cette époque sur des panneaux lumineux. Mention spéciale pour les cylindres en verre fabriqués et façonnés à la main par l’artiste anglaise Heather Gillespie qui rappellent la forme de la Friedenssäule, colonne qui se trouve devant l’hôtel. Des lamelles pivotantes en guise de cloisons symbolisent le mouvement et le renouveau, des messages inscrits sur les affiches de manifestants recréent cette ambiance particulière et vous replongent dans cette époque passionnante de profonds changements. Les bougies qui rappellent la fête des lumières annuelle sont un élément de décoration très présent dans l’hôtel.
Les lampes à suspension en forme de bougies de la marque italienne ilide parachèvent cette atmosphère, et au-dessus de la grande table de restaurant trône un chandelier orné de pointes de verre éclairées de la manufacture toscane Il Pezzo Mancante.
Bien évidemment, nous n’oublions pas pour autant nos racines saxonnes. À la réception, en guise d’accueil, vous trouverez des expressions en dialecte saxon écrites avec des lettres en laiton bruni. Afin de pouvoir analyser tranquillement ses paroles sages, il vous suffira de vous installer dans les salons chaleureux de la marque italienne La Cividina. Notre hôtel design se trouve au cœur de la vieille ville près des églises Saint-Nicolas (Nikolaikirche) et Saint-Thomas (Thomaskirche) et de la gare centrale (Hauptbahnhof). Le zoo, le parc des expositions et l’aéroport de Leipzig-Halle sont également accessibles rapidement.
