The rooms do not have phones, refrigerators or coffee makers. This is very inconvenient. Moreover, ice can only be obtained from the bar. Lastly, the breakfast selection is limited and could use enhancement.
Very pleasant staff. Nice room, clean and practical. Good location. Good to have some basic food offerings in the bar in the evening such as toasted sandwiches as we arrived quite late and did not want to go out to eat so this was appreciated.

I have stayed in your hotel in Amsterdam and Zurich. This was my second time in Zurich. I was astonished by the rudeness of the receptionist when we arrived on Saturday the 5th at noon. We specifically booked x2 rooms that had to be communicating (stayed with you before we have used them) via email (therefore written). The receptionist (male) was very unpolite towards us simply telling that his colleague made a mistake and that was no availability of the rooms we had booked. I understand it is a "motel" but at least some spirit of resolving the situation would have been appreciated. Some empathy. Instead he simply "scolded" us, like we were stealing his time (forgetting we are customers who pay) and told us that this is the situation, take it or leave it. Extremely rude. For this employee I would not come back. Unfortunately I did not take note of the name. Turns out that even if I book via email, there is no certainty that we will have the room we have selected and paid for.

The bar at Motel One was a real highlight of my stay. Stylish, relaxed atmosphere with a solid selection of drinks and cocktails. The bartenders were friendly, knowledgeable, and made a great G&T. Perfect spot to unwind after a day out—surprisingly classy for a hotel bar. Highly recommend stopping in, even if you’re not staying overnight. Thank you for your service Luna!
Cheapy breakfast with low quality options, pricey bar,small room cold and the tiles in the bathroom are in urgent need of replacement.Good location.

Everything was perfect! The hotel and room were very clean, conveniently located near the city center and the airport. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Atef and Saad Alah, for making us live like home. Their hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended ❤️
Motel One is always a good choice - the Zurich One especially :) Excellent receptionist staff who gives a warm welcome and takes great care of special wishes. Ambiente is amazing! Centrally located with a very good connectivity within the city.
Needless to say, as I have stayed at many hotels over the years, I was overly surprised to get what I got. Not doing any research before, I had no idea what to expect when coming to a "MOTEL". But your house is truly something. My balcony room was simple but beautiful. Breakfast was great and the Gin Bar for a gin lover has some really nice selection. Only downfall ... you should get 2-3 non alcoholic Gin Selections.

The room that I received on the "ground floor" (to be reached through a long way first up to the first floor reachable only with elevator and then down again to the ground floor reachable only through the stairs) is absurd. Never seen something like that in a Hotel. I will not come back if I should receive it again. Kind regards. Michele Casartelli.

still had to change the billing adresse despite changing it in the booking process. (just a minor issue though). I forgot something and they found and are holding it for me in the lost and found. Handling is great.
I always really like staying at Motel One with a big group and the contact in advance is really nice and fast.
All is good except the breakfast that is very industrial and poor quality...

Nice quiet location in Zurich, yet close to everything including public transport. Extremely quiet rooms with exceptionally comfortable beds.

Excellent hotel.
It would have been good to have a hook for the towel outside the shower cabinet. The towel was difficult to hook and fell down easily (nothing on the towel to hang it on a hook, and the shape of the hook on the bathroom also was not ideal). The round shape of the wash basin made it difficult to get the face close to the mirror, and it is difficult avoid splashing water towards the mirror. As for the breakfast, I would like to see also some fish, and perhaps something warm (scrambled eggs, ...). The cheese was good (as to be expected in Switzerland), but there could be a larger variety.
Hardest bed so far of the Motel One group we have encountered. The Cologne and Amsterdam South ones were fine. We both had stiff joints from the 4 nights. We will not be returning to this one.
The stay was wonderful and all the staff was so friendly. The bar staff was so helpful every evening. We are from America and the first night we got here was when the Super Bowl was the air. My husband had an early morning meeting and I wanted to watch the game. I needed help trying to watch the game and Luna at the bar did not everything she could to help me. She was so patient and helpful like all the staff members. This was a wonderful trip and Motel One delivered. We stayed at a Motel One in Dublin in September and these hotels and the staff impressed us even more here. Thank you all for a wonderful mini holiday.
As always the room etc. was good. Sadly I could not adjust the temperature in the room. There was no switch for the lamp in the corner (or I could not find it) What really annoyed me was the fact that my breakfast was cleared TWICE though I only got myself a new coffee. Why dont you put a badge on the table with two colors. Red- I am not finished. Green- I am done pls clean up. That would makes things easier and save resources.

What truly made my stay unforgettable was the incredible staff who went above and beyond to make me feel at home. A special shoutout to the amazing team in the breakfast area – Mehdi, Atef, Raudy, Johannis, Carmela, Luna, Michi and Sophy. During my stay, I often worked in the breakfast area, and they were always so kind and accommodating with warm smiles and friendly greetings. They created such a positive and inviting atmosphere, and their thoughtfulness did not go unnoticed. At the reception, Daniel, Max and Matthias were absolute gems. Their kindness and professionalism stood out from the very beginning. They greeted me every time I walked by, and their attention to detail ensured that everything ran smoothly during my stay. I had the pleasure of spending time at the bar, where Lorenzo, Jessica, and Bernardo created a welcoming and relaxing vibe. Their friendly, engaging personalities made every visit a delight. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and comfortable, but it’s the people who truly make it special. The dedication and warmth of Mehdi, Atef, Raudy, Johannis, Carmela, Luna, Michi, Sophy, Lorenzo, Jessica, Bernardo, Daniel, Max and Matthias turned a great stay into an extraordinary one. I cannot thank them enough for their hard work and hospitality. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll feel like family, this is it. A nice enough room and space, although limited for being able to take items out of suitcase other than hanging. Really missed having a jug or access to hot water either in the room or on the floor so I can make myself a coffee - I really don't want to go down to the bar at 6am to get water for a coffee in my pyjamas. Bar, lobby, and restaurant areas were good
Always a great stay, room as spotless clean, smooth check-in, delicious breakfast, great cocktails and perfect location.
It was ok. bedroom small and unwelcoming. No coffee/tea. Bed quilt was considerably smaller than the bed. Girl in the bar took soooooo long to serve a customer before me that I am almost gave it - she was very slow. no water in the room. I also asked for a top floor room to minimise noise but i was on floor 2...!!! and guess what, clumping and thumping come through the ceiling that woke me up.
I enjoyed all the services and will come back when in town. Tibor
Check in was slow, despite pre-checking in (I wouldn't bother doing this next time). Its also a shame that there was no water in the room, or tea/coffee facilities. I also don't think the breakfast is good value for money. Other than that a great hotel, lovely bar and good location.
everything is 9 out of 10. I only wish there was a kettle at the room just to warm some water for tea or coffee. I know there is a lounge bar, but sometimes you just want to have the hot beverage in the room
Good price for money, great location and attentive staff. Heating works great and breakfast is delicious. Rooms could be better sound proofed.

Motel One Zurich continues to deliver a high quality experience with very clean rooms, world class housekeeping, and a satisfying breakfast buffet.
Stayed a couple of times in the last week. Didn't sleep well on either stay as the bed was uncomfortable, particularly the pillows.
Despite asking in advance for a quiet room away from the lifts/elevators I was in room 196. First floor, looking out onto the main road with the tram going past every 15 minutes (even very late into the night). There is an awful speaker playing terrible music in the hallway by the elevators which could be heard in the room all night. The room was extraordinarily hot and no amount of changes to the air conditioning switches made it any cooler. The air conditioner was making a weird noise every 12 seconds until I finally gave up on trying to cool the room down and turned it off. There was "something" stuck all over the inside handle of the shower/toilet room - it looked biological but I didn't want to experiment, but needless to say I felt physically sick. Overall a ghastly experience, and your cleaning staff need a lesson in doing it properly.

Our Design Hotel in Zurich is situated in the town centre, close to the old botanical gardens at Schanzengraben.
