Great staff, simple, easy and reliable service.
Fabulous staff!!! Beautifully clean room Make the best Margaritas! Wonderful breakfast Could not fault!!! Definitely my new go to hotel when I stay in the city centre.
We came for Manchester Christmas market and we found this hotel ideally located in the heart of the city. It looks very modern clean and friendly. Check-in was quick and we had an opportunity to leave our luggage the next day. We will definitely recommend this place.
Wonderful place in the city.
Everything we needed for a short stay. Handy for Xmas markets. Central location.. room small but adequate and clean. Would use again
I had an excellent stay at Motel One Manchester-Royal Exchange. The hotel is perfectly located, with a modern design and a warm atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and professional. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, providing a perfect night. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Manchester and looking for stylish yet affordable accommodation.
good customer service and location
The hotel was fine for a simple overnight city-centre stay but the breakfast was over-priced. The breakfast only had a limitted choice of food - there was nice bread and a small choice of pastries but only two types of rubbery cheese and cheap sliced meat and no marmalade or the like to go with the bread. £6 or £7 would have been more appropriate than £13.95. Also, the room literature said something like 'every hotel has a bespoke hazelnut chocolate dispenser' but I could not see that.
Lovely hotel, very central and plenty if shops, pubs and reasturants around. Friendly staff & clean rooms
Excellent hotel in a great location. Hotel feels new and a good standard. Please keep it maintained.
Gorgeous hotel in a perfect location. All staff very friendly and helpful. our room was very clean and beautifully decorated.

Fabulous location and good value.
A very nice place with good value for money in a perfect location for the Christmas market we visited in Manchester.
Lovely hotel, in perfect location. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, clean and friendly.
Helpful friendly staff. Room was adequete size for both of us. Centrally located for Arndale centre and Christmas market.
Great position in town Good looking hotel Very pricey for the Christmas market period Almost three times normal price So for us paying 202 per night it wasn't worth it TV had very few English channels which is outrageous Maid didn't come till 4.00 to clean the room which was while we were resting so had to ask for clean towels Breakfast was a good continental choice, it's winter something hot would have been nice Room was small Taps made a noise
Room was ok, bed was comfortable and the service good.
Overall a good hotel. Clean and nice atmosphere
The hotel is lovely and clean and staff are all very friendly. Thank you
good location and great customer service
I enjoyed my stay at motel one, my feedback was that it would have been nice for the TV to have access to smart apps. Also, the breakfast was satisfactory but having to peel hardboiled eggs was not ideal.
Great location. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean.
good location and friendly staff
Convenient location and good service from reception. Room was very cold, shower leaked and no stairs to reception other than emergency stairs
Staff was wonderful. Room was very comfortable and quiet.
Wonderful experience in this hotel. Quick access to the room and welcoming staff. We will recommend.
Staff are brilliant
The hotel is ok but well placed . A couple if the staff on reception were great but bar service was poor with most staff not really interested
Fantastic location staff cleanliness bedroom and bathroom facilities Everything perfect
Televisions need resetting to show more English channels
Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. Extremely clean hotel and beautiful decor.
The welcome is always warm and the hotel and rooms are spotless..great value for money, the hotel is cental for everything. We wouldn't stay anywhere else as everything you need is there.
Nice hotel in a prefect location.
Perfect location for exploring Manchester. Large comfy bed, quiet rooms and great staff especially Ginevra, who was very helpful.
Greta stay - Ginervia was especially helpful on reception. Air con did break half way night 1/2 and it was very warm! Breakfast was amazing :) Thank you
Good service, staff friendly and room clean, I would stay here again in the future
My stay was very pleasant, the room was very nice and had everything I needed for one night including a comfortable bed and a roomy shower room. Would have been a 10 out of 10, but unfortunately you can’t control who stays and whether or not they are respectful to other other guests staying.
Clean - good - all was well until teh fire evacuation, where I discovered that the back fire exit door was blocked from the outside on the stree by a temporaru street sign. I had to struggle to get out of the fire exit. This is illegal and dangerous and I reported it to Reception. One day later and the door was still blocked. For this the hotel lost points - I did not feel safe.
very pleasant stay once again, was able to leave our bags off early that morning and come back around 6pm to check in and get our room. was also spotless as expected. thanks again and see you all in the new year.
Staff warm and welcoming on check in. Great location, modern clean rooms
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very clean hotel with a great location.
Staff was wonderful. Room was very comfortable and quiet.
Excellent location in city centre. Quiet and omfortable room and excellent facilities. Lovely reception staff
Great location
When first walking in everything was good, however the room was small very simple it didn’t look amazing could hardly move. The toilet was squeaky so every time you moved it made a sound. The tv hardly worked only certain channels was working. We was overlooking another building which didn’t look nice so we had the curtains drawn for the stay. The bed was comfy however the pillows could’ve been better. The air con didn’t really work. It was boiling in the room so air con working would’ve been good. The price for one night was not worth it. Was far too expensive just for one night. It was placed good as there was shops near by. You could keep your luggage at the hotel until you was ready to leave which was good. Also the WiFi did not work for me and the signal was rubbish. I would not stay here again. We booked this hotel as it was last minute not worth the amount we paid.
Was a nice hotel but has some issues, with the shower not working very well, lifts taking an age.
Fantastic hotel chain ...Always friendly and clean. Beds and bedding are divine. Just wished we could have got the TV and the Air conditioning to work as it was so warm 🥵. Other than that great stay.

Your Motel One with industrial chic
Our Motel One Manchester-Royal Exchange is designed with a trendy faux-industrial look in memory of Manchester’s golden era when it was known as “Cottonopolis”: all about cotton as a raw material and its processing. The foyer is dominated by six-metre high round steel arches and a wall of printed cloth, as a foretaste of our theme. Furniture by Baxter and hanging lamps by Alturo Alvarez are complemented by details such as spools of thread and spinning machines.
The main eye-catcher is a wall installation entitled "Cottonopolis" by paper artist Andy Singleton, composed entirely of shapes cast by innumerable single threads.
Our affordable hotel is situated right opposite the Royal Exchange Theatre in the very heart of Manchester. The Town Hall, Manchester Cathedral, Manchester Arena and the Manchester Central Convention Complex are within walking distance, and both Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly stations are within easy reach.
Visit us in Manchester and find out about the centre of the cotton trade.
Cool Cotton
Classic British furniture, paper sculptures and more will transport you to "Cottonopolis" - 19th century Manchester.
Cutting Edge
Paper artist Andy Singleton has proven a steady hand for Motel One Manchester-Royal.
