Some parts of the room is really nicely decorated, other parts could do work or just looks really dated. Room could really do with a mini fridge.
The room was clean and comfortable and was good for the price. Check in was friendly and efficient. The lack of a power point at one side of the bed was a small inconvenience
Clean, warm and convenient. Great service.
I like the stylishly functional rooms, the bed was comfortable so I slept well, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
This hotel is beautiful the staff on reception are amazing nice warm welcome to myself and granddaughter .the rooms were spotless everything we needed can't recommend enough will definitely be back once my granddaughter starts university
Thanks for the team, they are great :-)
Friendly helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room would recommend to anyone
Overall a very pleasant stay, excellent location, all staff members we encountered were very friendly, professional and helpful. Our room was small but had everything we needed for one night, it was clean enough but as we were packing to leave we found a pair of socks left by a previous guest under the bedside table. Would have preferred proper cups/glasses instead of paper ones. We were only informed it was a continental breakfast on arrival it doesn’t state that in the booking site.
Had this been our first visit to a motel one, I'm sure the score would be higher..however we have previously stayed, twice, at your glasgow location, and the rooms at Glasgow was noticeably larger...at Manchester there was hardly any clothes hanging space at all... and as for the towel ''hooks'' on bathroom door... forget it. Overall a decent hotel to stay at, as I say, the glasgow hotel seems to have made our expectations a little too high.
Excellent….🥳🎉
Very good value. Would have had breakfast if there was a cooked option. Nice room with big bed
Lovely experience, very clean, nice bar and very welcoming staff.
We had booked an overnight stay as we were going to watch Peter Kay at the AO. We were checked in early, which was a bonus, the gentleman on reception was very pleasent and professional. The lobby is warm and welcoming as is the bar area, drinks were reasonable priced, again service was professional and efficient. Our room was on the 1st floor, it was small but we had everything we needed. Tea and Coffee facilities were included. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we both slept well. Great strong shower with lovely fluffy towels. Shower and hand hand gel were included. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but given how good everything else was I can only assume this would have also been good. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and will look to stay in other Motel One's around the country.
We’ve stayed with you at this location before so knew the room would be comfy and the location is great. Beds and pillows are comfy and the only thing I didn’t like was the hairdryer which only seemed to give out cold air. Reception area is lovely and staff are friendly.
It was a pleasant stay but an extra £10 for a bigger room but was in fact only a non allocated disable friendly room was dissapointing.
The customer service at MotelOne is second-to-none. Fatima, Michael, and Evie are incredibly helpful. I had left an article of clothing at my previous stay and they went above and beyond to return it to me promptly. They were very kind and understanding throughout and ensured that I knew the process that would happen to get my item back to me. I have also been helped by them numerous times. They're always quick to check me in. They truly enhance the experience I have when staying at MotelOne.
10* is not enough! I absolutely love staying at Motel One in Manchester Royal Exchange, Staff are ALWAYS super helpful, friendly, smiling no matter what time of the day that is and very professional. Can’t thank you guys enough for making me feel welcome every time.
Very clean very friendly very central will definitely use motel one again
First time at this hotel but won't be the last have to commend all the staff for their warm welcome professional approach and a commitment to work nothing was too much trouble a special mention to Michael on reception a sheer delight and do helpful and to the young itailan girl at breakfast so pleasant even though the breakfast room was very busy at the time the staff were so hard working ensuring the buffet table was always full abd tables cleared very quickly. Bar in the evening also excellent staff. If I did have a negative it's the paper cups in the room 202 and the view will ensure ask for a room with a better view. Very good value for what is on offer.
The hotel was warm and staff very helpful and welcoming, and very clean. The room was lovely and spacious and bed was very comfy. Location was fantastic as we were going to concert in AO Arena.
From the moment we arrived until we left the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.
Good hotel in good place.
good sized room & clean. bed was comfy
I booked to see the group Toto at the AO Arena so needed some where central to stay and this chain of Hotels fitted the bill, really enjoyed my stay at this one, and looking forward to booking later on this year.
stay was amazing
I didn’t like that a hotel doesn’t serve food
Great hotel and especially good and friendly reception
Ideal overnight stop near the airport. Ten minute (€20) taxi ride. Friendly staff. Rooms basic but clean and comfortable. Quiet location.
Comfortable rooms, equipped with all we needed. Great value for money
The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and so close to everything. Would definitely recommend.
Customer service was great. Ginevra was fantastic, she was very helpful throughout the whole process, especially when I was trying to check in a bit early to avoid the evening rush. I've had a few problems, but nothing major. Most recently, however, there was an earwig hiding under my pillow on the first night of my stay. It's most likely a one off, but a bit concerning. Overall, the customer service is great, the rooms are nice, and checking in and out is very easy.
Clean and tidy, modern city centre motel with friendly staff.
Reliable, convenient, clean and comfortable
Very reasonably priced. Nice clean rooms with all the stuff you'd expect. Very well situated on Cross Street. Staff were professional and welcoming.
We had a marvellous stay well worth the price, location was great in city centre, staff very friendly and helpful with eat out locations well recommended 💯
We had a great time in your hotel. We were warmly welcomed and the room was really comfortable and clean. Very convenient location.
Really enjoyed our stay, hotel was spotless and staff were very accommodating, the only slight niggle was there was no iron in our room which would have been useful
A modern hotel with a welcoming staff, perfectly located just minutes from the convention center.
The room was good and the bed comfortable, and the price for the stay was excellent. The location was also perfect. The staff on check in and check out seemed a little indifferent. No mention was made of breakfast times for instance, and I wasn’t asked how my stay was on checking out, but overall the experience was good and I’d stay again.
This is a lovely well maintained hotel, beautifully designed, staff are friendly and helpful, the bar is excellently stocked and staff are lovely, beds are very comfortable, the only problem I found was that the room was very small and no dressing table I have paid less for more space, but apart from that it's excellent.
Our second stay at a Motel One and it will not be our last. Super smart, beautiful room, lovely staff, excellent buffet breakfast. Arriving in Manchester by train, this time we chose the Royal Exchange site (as the room was £40 less than the Piccadilly) but it was still easily accessible with the free bus from Piccadilly station. Worth remembering for next time.
Great Location, Good Breakfast & Simple Design
Stayed here a few times and always receive a warm welcome from the reception staff, rooms clean and comfy. Will be back in March
Excellent room and Excellent service!
Lovely, would happily stay again.
I really enjoy Motel One Royal Exchange. Great part of town and a really nice atmosphere. However, I really don't like a double bed that is two singles joined and can't sleep in the middle. Appreciate this is petty but if I'm paying for a double bed I'd like a double bed.
Friendly helpful staff. Clean rom comfortable bed, good price, handy to town centre, good continental breakfast
Great location, facilities and friendly staff at reasonable price per night. Would book again.
Excellent stay in a central location. Staff were outstanding with a can do mentality nothing was any trouble, they made our stay. The room would benefit from a mini fridge.
Complaint reported to the manager No response Very regular visitor here and unhappy this has not been adresssd

Location and surroundings
Your Motel One with industrial chic
Our Motel One Manchester-Royal Exchange is designed with a trendy faux-industrial look in memory of Manchester’s golden era when it was known as “Cottonopolis”: all about cotton as a raw material and its processing. The foyer is dominated by six-metre high round steel arches and a wall of printed cloth, as a foretaste of our theme. Furniture by Baxter and hanging lamps by Alturo Alvarez are complemented by details such as spools of thread and spinning machines.
The main eye-catcher is a wall installation entitled "Cottonopolis" by paper artist Andy Singleton, composed entirely of shapes cast by innumerable single threads.
Our affordable hotel is situated right opposite the Royal Exchange Theatre in the very heart of Manchester. The Town Hall, Manchester Cathedral, Manchester Arena and the Manchester Central Convention Complex are within walking distance, and both Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly stations are within easy reach.
Visit us in Manchester and find out about the centre of the cotton trade.

Cool Cotton
Classic British furniture, paper sculptures and more will transport you to "Cottonopolis" - 19th century Manchester.

Cutting Edge
Paper artist Andy Singleton has proven a steady hand for Motel One Manchester-Royal.
