Expensive night for a basic room, poor breakfast but excellent location
Room was modern and bed was sooo comfy. Staff were friendly and everything was clean. The one thing that slightly dampened it was the bathroom had a strange smell on arrival, like drainage.
Great location, friendly staff and really good value.
Nice, comfortable rooms. Check in process was smooth and staff were friendly. Slight smell in the bathroom and some lingering shaving hairs in the toilet when I arrived. Location is brilliant, right next to train station. Continental breakfast was fine. No cooked breakfast option.
The foyer and entrance is lovely, but the rooms are small and basic, but overall ok for the price and location perfect for Piccadilly train station.
The hotel is in a prime location but very munched over priced for the size of the room £160 for a night without breakfast included is way to much
Excellent value for money overall although doubling the room price for Thursday(the Man Utd v Rangers football match the reason I assume?) was a shame.
Brilliant hotel, good location with an easy check in with friendly staff. Rooms where clean and tidy, as was the rest of the hotel. Beds were very comfortable, no noise was heard. I would definitely stay again.
Really great hotel in a very central location everything was super clean. The staff was lovely and helpful and just all around great! The breakfast was fantastic. Thank you so much for an excellent stay.
It was a very pleasant experience and the hotel had everything we wanted. The only thing I would wish for was a shelf or a table on both sides of the bed.
Good location
It was a nice stay , perfect
Beautiful hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location and clean, spacious rooms with lots of storage/places to hang your clothes and tea/coffee making facilities. Lighting in the bathroom was perfect for getting ready.
Very smart, modern and convenient hotel. Good location, spotlessly clean and very friendly staff.
Excellent hotel.Position was ideal. The staff were extraordinary. Friendly, polite and very good at their jobs.Would definitely return.
Second visit…..great central hotel, helpful staff and lovely rooms
The hotel location is excellent just 5 minutes away walk to/from Piccadilly train station. The staff are very nice. Very nice breakfast buffet. The room is a bit small.
Welcome was warm, rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are pleasant.
For the second time I was allocated in a room that I could not adjust the temperature. I needed to call the reception 3 times to have it sorted, and at the last time one of the receptionist told me the system was settled up automatically for the winter, and there wanst anything they could do. So unfortunately I needed to sleep in a very warm room as there was no way to set it up for a mild temperature, like 22 degrees.
Reception staff - Fantastic! Room - Satisfied However i dont know if there is something in there room but i have come home and i have been bitten by something over 15 times i have 15 inflated bite marks over my body
Unlike other Motel Ones I have stayed it, the rooms were not quiet and the air quality was not as good as in other Motel One hotels so far.
Clean and comfortable. Great price and location.
Apart from the WiFi which the did try to sort by offering to move me to another room, everything was great . Staff were really helpful and friendly.
Everything pretty perfect, as usual
Excellent hotel, modern design, friendly staff, clean, well located near Manchester train station
Not previously heard of this chain of accomodation. Really please, room was clean and very comfortable. Would like to have had the facility to make more than one cup of tea each. Needed two sachets of milk for each cup only got four all together. Found the water pressure in the shower a little bit low. Very pleased the ground floor bar, it was comfortable, well stocked and open until 2am. Overall, I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it. Seems a bit unfair to knock a mark off for a cup of tea and a lazy shower. I'm sure I could have asked for more ingredients, but sometimes it's just what you need moore than one brew. On reflection, I'm going to change the score to 10 out of 10 when I've finished writing this review. Brilliant accommodation and only 5 mins from Manchester Piccadilly train station. Just wish I'd asked where they got their pillows from, meant to look at the label and buy a couple. We'll done Motel one! :-)
Was in town with a friend. Reception staff were excellent, in the late evening of Thursday Jan 17th there was a guest who was quite disruptive but they handled the person with politeness and dignity, which was to their credit. My friend stayed up late at the bar and said the service was excellent and a lovely atmosphere.
Longest stay yet, 4 nights. Room & service were great as always & excellent value! Didn’t request housekeeping (stained furniture could be swapped or cleaned?).
Good and very convenient location, nice decor in the lobby area. Room cleaning was good. Quiet room despite the vicinity to train station. Room was small but bright and functional. Bed ok. The room floor carpet and the sofa armchair really show the stains of having been used for a while. Tiles on bathroom floor were moving/detatched.
As always, great stay. Efficient check-in, clean room
Comfortable and warm with the basics in the room for a short stay. Very convenient for the railway sation for an early getaway. friendlty welcome from the staff.
Really enjoyed my stay at motel one. All amenities clean. I let them know in advance I was going to be delayed and the stated no worries - 24hr reception. 4 minutes away from station Really cosy room with tea and coffee Nice and clean bathroom
Most facilities were excellent. 2 points, however. There is no mini fridge so I couldn't store water etc. The toilet was a little high off the ground. I'm 5ft11, so anyone in the 5ft 7 mark might have some difficulty touching the floor, It may just have been an issue with my room, however.
Excellent hotel, fantastic location. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was small but perfectly adequate. Immaculately clean throughout, the shower was excellent the king size bed super comfortable and the bedding great quality. Had a fantastic nights sleep, would definitely recommend and we will book again 😊
Stayed here as a 4 to watch Peter Kay Live Saturday 11th Jan. Stayed at the hotel before, perfect location, close to shops/bars/restaurants. Stayed in two Queen rooms however they were considerably small but fine for what we needed them for. Only disappointment was the breakfast, only cereal and toast etc - no cooked breakfast which I feel for £350 for 4 of us to stay for one night is extremely over priced as a fully cooked breakfast the next day would have been perfect as not a lot of places open in the city until 9/10am.
A nice, comfortable, clean hotel, within walking distance of the city centre
A good room, friendly welcome and good continental breakfast. The tv stations kept cutting out due to poor signal. The furniture was quite stained and tired looking - the stool and chair need cleaning.
Excellent staff, hotel and cleanliness.
Decor a bit tired but everything we needed for our stay. Staff were excellent and very helpful
I have stayed at Motel One Piccadilly previously so brought my own cup for the room as I don't like the papercups. I usually stay 2-4 nights for work purposes.. It's a shame the room doesn't have a small fridge so I can keep snacks cold, and having to request an Iron is a pain too. Overall it's a good hotel for 1-2 nights, any longer and it's underpar.
Very good value for money in terms of the room itself, small but perfectly adequate for a night or two and has all the facilities needed for a short stay and quite comfortable. The breakfast on the other is not with the money (£14). All cold and little choice.
I love hotel so friendly and well run by the team. Only thing it would be nice to have porcelain mugs and a couple of glass glasses for the room. Great stay and will return.
Wonderful service and a lovely room. Never could work out how to use the tv though!
Brilliant hotel, staff went above and beyond to help you . Comfortable no noise. A pleasure to stay there. Have rebooked to stay next month February. And May .
I have stayed at Motel one several times now! It’s my fave hotel in Manchester to stay when I visit. From the beautiful lobby, to the great sized clean rooms and lovely customer service… I wouldn’t go anywhere else!! 10/10
Motel One is conveniently located next to Manchester Piccadilly Station and is thus perfect for visiting Manchester. The property itself hosts a lot of rooms and I have to say supports an impressive high standard of cleanliness. There is a bar and spacious lounge area and the staff are helpful and pleasant. On the down side, the "continental breakfast" was an utter disappointment. I was expecting something more and quite frankly shocked at what was on offer. Personally, I never touch cold meats and prefer to get my breakfast protein through something cooked. So, the only alternative was boiled eggs. More or less everything else was carbohydrates. Had I known this, I would have made alternate arrangements and not forked out an extra £14 for breakfast.
I would prefer to have proper mugs and teaspoons in the room, rather than paper cups, and a glass in the bathroom for toothbrush. I also think that there should be two bins, one in the room and one in the bathroom. Having to re-log into the wifi each day was a bit of a nuisance. Otherwise, everything was excellent and I will certainly be staying with you again.
Lovely as ever. But they need to decentralise the heating, anything above 21 is just painful.
I was very impressed with Motel One. The location is spacious and well laid out, on 10 floors with efficient lifts. The room and bed was comfortable and quiet, toilet and shower facilities modern and reliable. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast had a good variety. As a recommendation, I would have appreciated some water in my room, and clearer signage where the cups and kettle were kept.
Lovely hotel, comfy beds and very helpful staff
