Bestes Hotel ever!!
Nice staff, great rooms, wonderful bed - all good :-)
What a wonderful experience in Motel One Linz !Friendly staff, great location, immaculately clean, tasty breakfast.10 out of ten.Thank you all who made it possible.
The room I had 2.34 was over the street and extremely loud and noisy. The pillow were smelling bad, they have not been washed in a while. I could smell the body odour of others on it.
Overall top Hotel! Optimale Lage.
Excellent - couldn't have been better.
Good location, good staff. Room was unpleasantly warm.
Motel One has simply the best price for accommodation in all European cities. For business trips, I don't want to stay anywhere else. Their locations are always in the city center with shopping areas nearby and restaurants in walking distance.
Very nice people at the reception. I will definitely come again.
Superior hygiene, equipment
Perfect for a short stay but for a whole week room was a little bit too small.

I had a nice and clean room with a very comfortable bed. A drawback was that it was quite noisy despite being oriented to the small alley. I also liked the breakfast and the friendly staff.
The hotel is in the heart of the city. Our room had a view on the Hauptplatz. It was great. Everything was fine. Value for money. The only minor problem was that the restaurant was quite crowded, messy when we went to have the breakfast, but we could eat without problem.
When arriving we were met by a friendly and helpful team of receptionists, later we found a nice and clean room and next morning we got a great breakfest!
Ideally located, comfortable rooms, friendly and professional staff.
nice Place overall, friendly, good breakfast, room was chilled to 18 AC
When I arrived with my car there were road closures 25 meters from the hotel at the bridge and all entrance and exit ramps, yet staff had no idea about it. Your hotel should keep itself updated when road closures next to the hotel are going to impact guest arrivals by car. This is just good guest service. As a result it was impossible to get to the parkade entrance. The front desk clerk gave wrong directions asking me to make a round about turn that was actually closed by police. I ended up driving past Oberbank 4 km until I turn around. As a loyalty member I made a request at the time of booking directly to the hotel email, to not have a room on a low floor facing the public courtyard. It’s a noisy courtyard with local teens hanging out. I received no communication from the hotel. When I arrived they gave me a room on the lowest floor facing the inner public courtyard. Clearly hotel staff do not read hotel emails or, they just don’t care enough. There air conditioning in the room was so cold, I slept with clothes on. Finally, I ordered a Hendricks Gin “neat”, and the desk clerk (she) made it wrong. When I politely gave her the correct way to make the drink she became defensive and rude snapping back, “she’s not a bartender”. If she’s not a bartender why is she making 14 EUR drinks? Anyway, my loyalty is over I will not return to Motel One properties. Clearly friendly customer service exists not your priority - or your Austrian staff are just prejudice against English speakers. Either way, unacceptable. As travel agent I will no longer be using your brand for our river and tour groups in Austria and Germany. Thank you.
Tolles Hotel, tolles Team
alles top!
We didn’t have any issues with our reservations, our stay in Linz was very pleasant.
Perfect location, spacious room with air conditioning, all modern and in great condition. Everything was spotless, and the staff was incredibly friendly. However, Motel One really needs to step up their breakfast game (it’s not bad, just a bit stale). Also, the digital room key with the smartphone app didn’t work. Even if it had, you’d still need a physical key card for the lights. In the evening, the staff juggled check-ins and tending the bar, but they were very friendly and did their best.
The hotel is generally nice, the staff are friendly and helpful, the beds are comfortable and clean, the breakfast selection was good. But, there was a strong smell of damp in the rooms, almost like a wet dog. Other people in my group had the same problem. The cleaning staff also left their equipment in the room, and it was still there 2 days later which indicates that the rooms were not being cleaned. It was disappointing as I have stayed here before and did not have the same issues.
Alles war bestens.
The ladies at the front desk were lovely and helpful during my stay. Perfect location, close to public transport and the sites I was interested in seeing.
The Lounge Bar menu didn't contain offering of sandwiches, which I know Motel One has excellent choice of.
Clean, Central, efficient and friendly.
Alles top.
at 8 am the Clearing Lady knocked very briefly and then opened the door despite my son and me not having had been to breakfast or checked out yet. my son was still asleep at that time. that was repeated at around 10 am, when we had just returned from breakfast and were packing our bags. the "do not disturb" thing was outside on the doorknob. cleaning should only try rooms they know to have been vacated, which should have been simple to check as we only stayed the one night. the rooms facing the Hauptplatz are a bit noisy because of the trams passing by. otherwise, we had a good hotel experience and slept well. the shower was clean and the showerhead with the different functions fascinating for my 7-year-old
The hotel was clean, lovely beds and very good shower. Very strange though, no tea or coffee or even water in the room, i find this unacceptable on this price range of a hotel
Very nice rooms, great staff, clean hotel. Breakfast could be better.
alles super
Great location in Linz. Very clean and quiet. Bath mat taken after first day and not replaced. Lacks several amenities of equally priced hotels in America.
The hotel is generally nice and well located. However, I could hear the noise of the tram at night. The room is very basic and sometimes the staff don't speak English. One of the guys at the reception was friendly, nice and available. While a woman kept answering in German when I spoke English and I had to ask her to switch to English more than one time.
Air condition did not work in the room. Way too earm duvets, impossible to use.
alles ok
Good breakfast with several veggie/vegan options, very conveniently located in Linz. The room was clean and spacious, however I would have appreciated a hot water kettle and little fridge in the room.
Great location and would stay here again. Beware -- you have to put your breakfast voucher numbers in when booking -- you can't use them on-site.
Almost every room I am in usually has spiderwebs in one or more corners. If you can pay more attention to that detail, it would be 10/10.
Alles okay.
Excellent location, rooms comfortable as always in a Motel One
Room was ok in terms of value for money. But the isolation to the square is not good. Whenever the tram passes by the room starts vibrating
not smart people works there, old rooms
Upon entering the room there was a musty smell but it was coming from the bathroom - we left the room window open wide but it didn't help. Would need a deep clean. Also, above the window of the room, there were a lot of spiderwebs. Overall it was fine but in companion to other Motel One hotels, it wasn't as clean.
A lovely room and very comfortable. Good breakfast. Nice welcome at the desk.
not as excellent as usual, light arrangement in the bathroom not optimal, heating not perfect and much more expensive than before

Where charming history meets industrial roots
We’re delighted to welcome you to our first hotel in Linz, housed in a beautiful listed building. The historical roots of this building and its top location in the middle of Linz’s main square – the heart of the city – laid the foundations for our interior design concept. Stuccowork and charming details inspired by Linz’s rich history meet modern design and industrial elements. Bicycle bells, bike lights and saddle bags aren’t just decorations in our hotel; they also pay homage to Linz’s stage on the Danube cycle path. We also enlisted the help of Austrian designers when putting together the Motel One Linz. You’ll find seats by the labels Wittmann and Gebrüder Thonet Vienna in the One Lounge that invite you to take a pew and enjoy our extensive breakfast buffet. Feeling comfortable? Great! In the evenings, the bar at Motel One Linz not only lures you in with its outstanding selection of gins, but also with its stylish ambience – Art Nouveau, to be precise. The handmade overlapping tiles at the counter are a tribute to the extravagant aesthetic of this bygone era. As usual, free WiFi and a cosy room with comfortable box spring beds await you in our affordable city hotel. It’s the perfect place for all our guests biking the Danube cycle path to put their feet up and relax after touring through Austria. Fortunately, you don’t have to cycle to our hotel: thanks to its central location – a stone’s throw away from Linz Central station – getting to our hotel is a breeze, with no detours required, even if you’re coming from the airport, the city itself or the surrounding area. Once you’ve arrived at our hotel, our friendly staff will be ready and waiting to check you in from 3 pm onwards.
Visiting Linz for business? We’ve got you covered! Our hotel offers business travellers the perfect central location and the best value for money. A separate meeting room is also available next to the One Lounge.
For those who have been planning to go to Linz for a while, you can rest assured that Linz lives and breathes art and culture. In the immediate vicinity of our design hotel, directly on Linz’s main square, you’ll find the Lentos Art Museum, the Ars Electronica Center and the Schlossmuseum. And if that weren’t enough, there are plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafés to enjoy. Feeling peckish? Why not try some delicious Upper Austrian specialities, such as Knödl (dumplings) and Bratl (roast pork) – with all the trimmings, of course! The Brucknerhaus concert hall and Casino Linz at Schillerpark Linz are just a short walk away. And if you’re after a bit of relaxation in the great outdoors, Linz’s Stadtpark and Bauernberg park offer the perfect backdrop for a calming stroll. But it’s not just the city centre that has something unique to offer – the surrounding area is also packed full of exciting things to do. Can you hear that? The Pöstlingberg is calling! Linz’s beloved mountain is only 4.5 km away from our affordable hotel and with its stunning views over the city and the Danube river, it’s definitely worth a visit! Linz is simply unbeatable.
