Very welcoming...lovely room and a very comfortable experience...will definetly be back
The public area was lovely and new. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and modern but small. Good location in the centre of Glasgow, next to Central train station.
Excellently situated, smart, clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast plain and Germanic but quite sufficient. Room quiet and comfortable.
Great experience only thing is my wife was moaning that you have no table with mirror in front of it to get ready to go out in the room
Good price, modern hotel
I enjoyed 2 nights stay at Motel One in Glasgow. Excellent location just opposit Central station, very convenient for shopping/eating/sightseeing. The room was clean, modern and quiet despite the central location.
Motel one Glasgow is well positioned in the middle of the city, ideal for nights out, events and gigs. Super comfortable beds and pillows and a fab selection from the continental breakfast. Most definitely my default for accommodation for both work and pleasure trips. We’ll be back!
Motel One Glasgow offers a great experience that includes helpful staff, clean rooms, healthy breakfast and an excellent lounge area to relax and unwind after a hard day working.
The room was clean and quiet. But the blanket was not warm enough (or there should be a spare one) and there was hardly any pressure in the shower.
Staff very friendly. Every where was clean Room comfortable
We had a lovely overnight stay for our wedding anniversary. The room and staff where excellent.
The stay was good, had a free breakfast voucher when I booked but this was not honored. I had to ask for the complimentary bottle of water as this was not in The room as stated. The emails I am recovering are all in a foreign language(maybe German) so have no idea what it’s saying! I enjoyed my stay
One of the best staff hotels I have ever met so far
Lovely hotel, people are nice, decor fabulous, location perfect, rooms super, local knowledge of staff great really enjoyed our 4 days. Only negative was the room was quite warm and in summer I could imagine it would be an issue, yes we ran the aircon fully to bring temp down.
Great budget hotel with comfortable king size beds. Central and with NCP parking nearby.
Very comfortable stay at Motel One Glasgow. Quite room, clean and comfortable. Really appreciate the addition of kettles in the room. Great breakfast choice
Gave me just what I wanted: a comfy, reasonably priced room with no frills. It was very well insulated for both sound and temperature, so I was never disturbed. I liked that notices encouraged resource-saving by dodging daily cleaning - and I did. Staff were helpful and efficient when needed.
Excellent yet again
Early check in much appreciated . Nice, comfortable, late opening bar .
Absolutely fantastic.
Good upkeep. Clean and tidy. Room was comfortable. Limited hot food options at breakfast.
Lovely Stay
As a regular user I have never been let down. Superb
Beautiful hotel. Lovely staff. Clean, tidy, quiet, safe.
I liked staying at motel one
One of a few stays at Glasgow Motel one Always comfortable and clean I took the no breakfast option this trip I will recommend
Excellent stay. The room was great, very tidy, great price. The staff were lovely and the location was amazing.
Staff at check in and check out were very friendly..also our room was spotless and had a comfy bed
Overall great experience! Only complaint is that room is a little small, but can’t fault anything else, would definitely stay again!
The hotel itself is great, decent clean rooms, nice staff etc. My issue is with the noise from the nightclubs and bars next door and nearby which means if you are in rooms on that side of the building on a Friday or Saturday night then you have music banging until 2am which can be heard even through earplugs, pillows and closed windows. Pretty sure they are louder than us allowed.
Clean, easy check in and out, friendly staff
Superb location, brilliant staff, super clean rooms and funky decor. Looking forward do returning!
Room was ok. Dark carpet and soft furnishings made it hard to see things in the room or the floor. Only one chair but the room is small and it would be a tight fit to put in two chairs. There was a thumping noise like a techno beat which went on until 2AM. this disrupted my sleep. didn't like paper cups for coffee and tea.
Probably one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in! The place is stunning and immaculate. Staff were nothing but helpful and the beds especially the pillows were a dream to sleep on. If im ever in Glasgow again this is where ill be staying.
Stayed for a couple of nights over a weekend. The hotel was very conveniently located in central Glasgow, check in was easy, staff were very friendly. The room was comfortable, well appointed and clean. Good shower. We were on the 11th floor so had a good view over the city and were not disturbed by any noise. Breakfast was very good - plenty of options.
Really lovely hotel in good location. Clean with good facilities. Easy parking in NCP a few minutes walk down the road. The only issue was that despite our room being quite high up we could hear a close by nightclub playing drum and bass very clearly which kept me awake until after 2am. We weren’t warned that this might be the case and as far as I’m aware the price of our room wasn’t discounted to reflect this. Would put me off booking again unfortunately as I like my slept.
Great hotel room was small but clean & nice breakfast is Continental good choice
Allowed us check in at 12 which was great as we had gotten an early flight. Reception woman extremely friendly. Streamlined check out service. Clean
We had a great stay.
Fantastic Value, very clean, great shower, absolutely will book again!
It’s always a pleasure to visit this well managed hotel in a great location in Glasgow city Centre.
As always, really good service and room clean and comfortable
Everything was really good. Except the paper cups for coffee

Motel One Glasgow was one of the best places I’ve EVER stayed! The customer service was outstanding, the front desk personnel were friendly and extremely helpful. The room itself was perfect and the bed was so comfortable! I am always prepared for uncomfortable mattresses when staying at motels/ hotels and I was so very happy to have complete comfort at Motel One! Amazing stay, great personnel and comfortable beds….what more could you want?!

Six reasons why you need to visit Glasgow
Evergreen
The name Glasgow comes from Gaelic and means ‘dear green place’ – more than 90 parks and gardens, such as Pollock Country Park and Kelvingrove Park, are open to the public and are perfect for taking a walk or simply relaxing.
Active
There’s something on offer every day of the year here, from festivals to football matches, art-house cinema to comedy clubs. The music scene in particular is second to none, no matter whether you’re into jazz, hip hop, electro or classical. Designated by UNESCO as a City of Music, it’s not for nothing that Glasgow is home to one of the world’s most sold-out concert locations (The OVO Hydro), which hosts a constant stream of superstars. You can also discover up-and-coming musicians in bars such as King Tut’s or Nice ‘n’ Sleazy. And you can find the Scottish Opera, the National Ballet and the National Theatre here – not to mention the World Pipe Band Championships, which involve nothing less than the world championship title for bagpipes!
Wonderful(ly cheap)
The city has more than 20 museums and galleries, as well as numerous other sights, many of which have free admission – such as the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, which contains one of Europe’s largest art collections, the Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow’s St Mungo’s Cathedral and the Botanic Gardens.
Varied
From climbing in a Gothic church to wakeboarding or winter sports in summer – Glasgow has much more than simply sightseeing to offer. Loch Lomond is also only around 40 minutes out of the city; you can explore the national park on foot, by boat or on horseback. Gourmands can examine the production of Scotland’s national drink by visiting one of the many whisky distilleries, such as the Clydeside Distillery in the middle of the city or the Glengoyne Distillery during a day trip out into the Highlands.
Spruced up
You might see an oversized panda just outside the front door, or an astronaut along the street: Glasgow has transformed into a real mecca for street art. You can discover some of the best artworks by taking a walk along the Mural Trail.
Appetising
Finnieston, in the west of the city, is Glasgow’s designated foodie district. There’s something to suit every taste, from young and cool locations to award-winning gourmet restaurants. By the way, Glasgow is also the UK’s most vegan-friendly city! It’s also got a thriving bar scene: things are no longer simply all about the (still delicious) whisky. Independent breweries have helped to establish craft beers, while juniper fans can look forward to specialised gin bars such as Gin71.

A journey studded with design
We have packed everything we need for the styling concept of our Motel One Glasgow: Get on board and enjoy the ride!
Railway Romance meets design
Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, our affordable design hotel is dedicated to railway romance. The Motel One Glasgow combines the industrial character of train and rail technology with the special sense of adventure that accompanies a journey by train. Be inspired by the detailed artworks by Scottish photography duo Matthew Dalziel and Louise Scullion and take an exciting trip through the history of trains.
Our employees are busy operating the switches behind the reception to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Wireflow lights by Vibia are reminiscent of the shape of tracks and railroad switches. Our One Lounge is also electrifying: the Spectre design suspended luminaires by Quasar create a visual reference to high-voltage power cables, and you can read the timetable for the Central Station on an infoscreen mounted on the stone wall. If you’d like to experience an antique train compartment for yourself, take a seat on the quilted benches.
Shelves and tables transport you to Glasgow’s industrial past with high-quality brass fittings, while Aldo Bernardi wall lamps round off the design concept. The bar takes a more rustic approach: enjoy a view of Dalziel and Scullion’s amazing photography as you sit at the genuine wooden counter and channel the excitement of travelling by train.
Whether you visit us by train, plane or car, you can take advantage of the same comfortable box-spring beds, extensive breakfast buffet and free WiFi in our affordable design hotel that you have come to expect from Motel One. Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, the hotel is not only highly accessible by public transport, it is also the ideal starting point for exploring sights like the Gallery of Modern Art, City Chambers and Glasgow Cathedral. Full steam ahead!
