Room was small compared to Premier Inn.. Kettle on coffee table didn't reach Socket, so had to physically move table @ 3 foot to enable plug to reach .. Small details go a long way to ensure customers return. We were in room 926
Great location lovely room comfy bed I will come back staff very friendly 👍👍
Good location, good price. The discounted parking does make a difference. The room layout and decor made it feel a little cramped and would’ve expected condensation-free mirrors in the bathroom with a new hotel. Disappointed that no draught beers are served in the bar area when it is a nice relaxing place to sit.
Everything we needed it to be for our nights stay.
What a brilliant find! Excellent location, friendly staff and really super atmosphere. Quirky decor (love the sheep!) and very good cocktails🍸. I had a smaller room on a high level floor, but despite some reviews saying they were very small rooms I found it to be more than suspicious enough. Brilliant power shower 🚿 too! I purchased breakfast the next morning - a decent Continental selection and even the machine coffee was actually good. Honestly, absolute value for money. I will definitely stay again when returning to Glasgow and would look to stay at a motel one in a different location too. Thank you 🙏
We arrived at the hotel at check in and the hotel was lovely. Very cosy but immaculate vibes. I had broken my knee the week previous to our stay and I hadn’t got the chance to contact the hotel about our room, but as soon as we checked in, the lovely woman on the counter gave us an accessible room for no extra charge. It made our stay a lot easier and the room was lovely.
Very pleasant - nice staff will stay again
Lovely room, attentive staff, location great
Good value , clean rooms comfortable beds , friendly staff
Very friendly and helpful staff, lobby with design which the vibe is very nice, clean and large room space, convenient location which is just besides the station.
Lovely stay but just a tad overpriced for an overnight without breakfast .
Perfect stay for one night. Very central location. Friendly staff. Nice and clean room. Great price too.
The Hotel is in the perfect location to everything, Glasgow central station, bars, restaurants & shopping.
Staff were friendly, motel one is well situated in Glasgow town centre. The room was modern and clean. Large comfortable bed. Thank you.
Rooms clean and tidy bit small but fine for what we needed. Lived the 12pm check.out
The staff here are lovely. Very professional and most definite very helpful.
Fantastic location very good as parking next to the building and train station too. Hotel very clean and rooms well equipped although the rooms do feel quite cramped. Would happily stay again as we believe the hotel is good value for money.
Helpful staff, room cleanliness and comfort both good. Breakfast good.
good as usual, stayed at this hotel several times and never been dissapointed.
Wonderful stay
Room was small but clean and sufficient for our needs. Staff friendly helpful and efficient.
This is my 4th time staying here and it just gets better each time from start to finish the staff are outstanding. I was coming as a joint birthday and the staff went out their way to decorate the room for us arriving and the finishing touches were perfect. The room was spacious and so comfortable. The view , perfect. The bar and lobby has the most romantic , comfortable and safe vibe the added bonus is no entry to the bar after a certain time without key card which makes it so much better that not everyone and anyone can access the hotel. The only thing I had an issue with was how warm The room was during the night and I couldn’t get the air con to go on however I didn’t alert the staff on this and if I had I know they would of rectified it and been very helpful . All in all after trying numerous hotels in Glasgow this is by far the best such an amazing hotel for staff , rooms , location and I can’t wait to come back.
Very near perfection and i have stayed in 11 hotels this month alone!
Value for money, superb location, friendliest staff around, perfect room, clean and tidy - 5 stars
Great location. Room was clean and comfortable, albeit a bit small. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.
Room was ready when we arrived so early check in. Staff were really friendly. Room was comfy. Brilliant experience Already booked to go back
Had a great 2 night stay in Glasgow. A good location, room brilliant and stay great, polite and very helpful.
My stay was great -friendly staff, clean and warm room. My only criticism is that I checked in online and specifically asked for my room not to be cleaned during my stay yet I returned on my second day to see someone had been in and made the bed and moved my things. I mentioned this at reception and was told, "oh the message cannot have got through". What is the point of the question if it gets ignored?
Pros-very comfy bed, choice of pillows, crisp bedding, very clean. Staff were excellent, polite and helpful. I was also able to store my case on day of checkout and pick up in the afternoon on my way to the train station. Cons- shower could do with more power, and I prefer proper cups as opposed to paper ones plus would be better if there were some biscuits in the room
Lovely friendly staff so helpful would always stay here when we come to Glasgow
I have stayed at Motel One on a few occasions and it is wonderful. Great happy friendly welcoming staff. Beds are devine. Location is ideally situated for trains etc. It is a very comfortable bed and the room is so comfortable. I'll be back soon. I highly recommend this accommodation 100%.
Fantastic value and such professional staff always willing to help. The safe in my room stopped working( Error2 - battery?) and well within half an hour had been opened. It was lovely having nice individual soap and shower dispensers rather than a huge general one attached to the wall.It is great having such a great bar/ sitting area especially to meet people and to have a coffee late at night- we’ll dine. My only criticism is that I was fortunate to be the only one in my room so I had the luxury of 2 towels to use after a shower which was perfect. However the main towels are on the small size and if I had had only 1 towel to use it would have been inadequate . I do understand that bigger towels are not eco friendly and I presume that if I had asked for an additional towel that I would have been given one.
Stayed here once again and got a lovely city view room as requested. Rooms are small but sufficient. Hotel very clean and reception staff most welcoming and helpful. The lounge area very comfortable and imaginatively decorated. Location good. Only a couple of minor points breakfast was very busy and so limited choice left. Also would have preferred a stoneware cup in bedroom for coffee rather than paper ones provided. All in all good wee hotel and will return.
Another great comfortable stay - convenient location, comfy beds, nice furnishings. Would recommend.
As sooon as I stepped through the door I felt welcomed and comfortable. It’s a super stylish hotel with attentive staff.
I have used this hotel before because of its excellent location / the helpful staff /Any complaints I have are usually very minor .I cannot comment on the breakfast as I prefer a cooked breakfast so eat elsewhere. I find the checking in process a bit of a chore as 1500hrs is very inflexible so end up with a lot of bored people hanging around for a long time tired and grumpy . .
Room was spotless however looked very tired compared to photos on website. Bar and lobby looked very nice. Service great. Didn't like having to take iron and ironing board upstairs myself. Understandable for the price point. Again room very clean, this is appreciated. Room far too hot.
I always have a great stay at Motel One Glasgow. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. Right next to Central Station.
The hotel decor and the standard of the rooms was exceptional. However, the temperature is an issue. Whilst the use of a heat pump is commendable, the control in room 838 simply didn't work to regulated the temp. Does not make for a comfortable, no matter how exceptional the general standard is otherwise.
There could have been an extra blanket in the rooms as the place was a bit chilly. Other than that it was really worth the price. The room looked good, they asked me both times when I stayed there which floor I want to be on. The personel at the reception were really helpful in findig a bus to the airport. Highly recommend it, but have an extra sweater.
One night stay at this Motel. Check in easy friendly smiley helpful staff. Modern motel very central location. Rooms very modern, bright clean and contemporary and compact and good quality . Bed linen crisp and fresh and comfy bed and lovely fluffy white towels in the shower room . Added bonus was the great bar with ambiance a warm welcome and great selection of drinks
Staff friendly and helpful clean tidy lvery relaxed atmosphere center to everything bars restraunts fast food tube and train station shops .bedroom was clean and a comfortable bed. Great night sleep. We have stayed in other hotels in and around the area and this was our number one stay .will definitely be back .
Great, clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and happy to help. Thank You
Brilliant location, great shower & the comfiest bed we have ever slept on in a hotel. The only tiny negative was that most of the tv channels didn’t work on our tv but other than that superb, looking forward to our next stay in April.
Always a pleasure to stay at Motel One Glasgow , love the beds ,sheets and pillows .
Nice clean and tidy room . The on line check in was easy and helpful. The staff were very friendly. The bar area was nice and relaxing. The entry system for the evening was very secure
This was a lovely hotel a great location in the centre of Glasgow. Staff very friendly and welcoming rooms very modern and clean would definitely stay here again.
Our stay in Glasgow Motel One was as good as our previous visit. If the room temperature had been better (a bit cold for me) it would have been perfect.
Good value. Clean and tidy
Check-in was seamless, rooms comfortable, skipped breakfast as didnt realise it was of the bread and jam variety only. Wetherspoons opposite provided the alternative.

Next stop: Glasgow!
Six reasons why you need to visit Glasgow
Evergreen
The name Glasgow comes from Gaelic and means ‘dear green place’ – more than 90 parks and gardens, such as Pollock Country Park and Kelvingrove Park, are open to the public and are perfect for taking a walk or simply relaxing.
Active
There’s something on offer every day of the year here, from festivals to football matches, art-house cinema to comedy clubs. The music scene in particular is second to none, no matter whether you’re into jazz, hip hop, electro or classical. Designated by UNESCO as a City of Music, it’s not for nothing that Glasgow is home to one of the world’s most sold-out concert locations (The OVO Hydro), which hosts a constant stream of superstars. You can also discover up-and-coming musicians in bars such as King Tut’s or Nice ‘n’ Sleazy. And you can find the Scottish Opera, the National Ballet and the National Theatre here – not to mention the World Pipe Band Championships, which involve nothing less than the world championship title for bagpipes!
Wonderful(ly cheap)
The city has more than 20 museums and galleries, as well as numerous other sights, many of which have free admission – such as the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, which contains one of Europe’s largest art collections, the Gallery of Modern Art, Glasgow’s St Mungo’s Cathedral and the Botanic Gardens.
Varied
From climbing in a Gothic church to wakeboarding or winter sports in summer – Glasgow has much more than simply sightseeing to offer. Loch Lomond is also only around 40 minutes out of the city; you can explore the national park on foot, by boat or on horseback. Gourmands can examine the production of Scotland’s national drink by visiting one of the many whisky distilleries, such as the Clydeside Distillery in the middle of the city or the Glengoyne Distillery during a day trip out into the Highlands.
Spruced up
You might see an oversized panda just outside the front door, or an astronaut along the street: Glasgow has transformed into a real mecca for street art. You can discover some of the best artworks by taking a walk along the Mural Trail.
Appetising
Finnieston, in the west of the city, is Glasgow’s designated foodie district. There’s something to suit every taste, from young and cool locations to award-winning gourmet restaurants. By the way, Glasgow is also the UK’s most vegan-friendly city! It’s also got a thriving bar scene: things are no longer simply all about the (still delicious) whisky. Independent breweries have helped to establish craft beers, while juniper fans can look forward to specialised gin bars such as Gin71.

A journey studded with design
We have packed everything we need for the styling concept of our Motel One Glasgow: Get on board and enjoy the ride!
Railway Romance meets design
Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, our affordable design hotel is dedicated to railway romance. The Motel One Glasgow combines the industrial character of train and rail technology with the special sense of adventure that accompanies a journey by train. Be inspired by the detailed artworks by Scottish photography duo Matthew Dalziel and Louise Scullion and take an exciting trip through the history of trains.
Our employees are busy operating the switches behind the reception to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Wireflow lights by Vibia are reminiscent of the shape of tracks and railroad switches. Our One Lounge is also electrifying: the Spectre design suspended luminaires by Quasar create a visual reference to high-voltage power cables, and you can read the timetable for the Central Station on an infoscreen mounted on the stone wall. If you’d like to experience an antique train compartment for yourself, take a seat on the quilted benches.
Shelves and tables transport you to Glasgow’s industrial past with high-quality brass fittings, while Aldo Bernardi wall lamps round off the design concept. The bar takes a more rustic approach: enjoy a view of Dalziel and Scullion’s amazing photography as you sit at the genuine wooden counter and channel the excitement of travelling by train.
Whether you visit us by train, plane or car, you can take advantage of the same comfortable box-spring beds, extensive breakfast buffet and free WiFi in our affordable design hotel that you have come to expect from Motel One. Situated immediately next to Glasgow Central Station, the hotel is not only highly accessible by public transport, it is also the ideal starting point for exploring sights like the Gallery of Modern Art, City Chambers and Glasgow Cathedral. Full steam ahead!
