Everything was great
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, bar was a great area to relax with a good selection of drinks. Room was slightly Spartan, but in a thoughtful way. Excellent location for exploring central Copenhagen too.
Wonderful stay in this lovely welcoming hotel. Perfect location.
The hotel was very nice with a great location. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were all wonderful and very helpful. The organic breakfasts were great, and it has really switched us on to organic foods. We would have no hesitation about staying there again.
Always friendly MotelOne staff greeting me when I arrive - always ready to help. Some rooms are very small, but they are always clean (and no carpets on the floor in the rooms - yes!) and I'm only there to sleep. Breakfast is good with healthy choices. Central location in Copenhagen.
Overall excellent, only minor details: - missing a frontal light in the bathroom (for make-up) - failed to connect my Samsung phone to the Samsung TV to watch my streaming contents (but I didn't ask for assistance)
Mostly very good. Noise in the night from bells and the street were unpleasant.
Great location. Not very accessible for anyone with mobility issues (steps to the entrance, only one lift working throughout our stay).
Perfect hotel, perfect location - we had such a fantastic stay, and would most definitely return and recommend to others.
Very nice staff, they made a small breakfast surprise for my wife’s birthday- many thanks
The location of the hotel is excellent. Very close to main attractions in city.
The location is excellent, 2 minutes from the Town Hall Square, with the corresponding metro stop to link to the airport, accessible on foot to the whole city. 2 minutes from Storget (the most famous shopping street), and 10 minutes from the train station, which was great for us to go by train to Frederiksborg and Kronborg, also for a trip to Malmö, Sweden. The room was very nice, and the best thing was the huge, super comfortable bed .... and the pillows too. The bathroom was a bit tight on space and equipment, but fine. The atmosphere of the reception, bar-lounge, and breakfast area is very successful. The breakfast buffet is very good.
On average happy with our stay : small but correct standard room, very good quality of bed. Breakfast, though of good quality, considered poor as no change in menu, same offer every morning, lacking fresh fruit salade. After a 4 days stay we lacked some creativity in the menu. The bar on the other hands is great, very friendly personnel (Lucca and her husband very friendly and interested in their guests).
Life broken and only a service lift available, tv needed to be connected via phone but we don’t like sharing unsecured data. We didn’t find the hotel overly clean but was a great location. I’ve stayed in better 2 star hotels! Staff were lovely.
Very friendly and helpful staff, from the moment of setting foot inside the hotel all the way till leaving. The hotel is clean and has a nice interior. The rooms offer a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Fantastic location, comfortable and clean rooms, lovely staff
The bed was very small and the room was not very clean! We saw hair on the bed and the floor was dirty!!! There was a guy from the reception he was very kind but the others were ok!
Arrived for Christmas break close to Tivoli and this was a perfect location. The room was nice, clean and comfy beds . Staff were amazing with such a friendly welcome creating a warm atmosphere in the Hotel you are greeted and treated by all the staff as if you have stayed on numerous occasion's .Breakfast was fantastic A Kettle is sadly missed in the rooms and we would definitely consider staying again.
This hotel is spotless You don’t need to stay in any other hotel in Copenhagen as this is right on your door step everything is so near , the staff her are so friendly , am giving this hotel 💯 out of 💯 excellent
A great breakfast and ideal location for exploring the city. Bar was nice too.
Excellent location, clean hotel, friendly staff and great bar area. Rooms a little small but fine for a couple of nights!
Overałl good except one person at the reception desk.
parking was a huge plus!
Very welcoming staff- room was super clean and the breakfast delicious Everything ran smoothly
Excellent & helpfull staff at reception, in Bar and especially at breakfast. Very central location. Very modern, we stayed in room 523 which was excellent.
everything good.no complaints
Great centrally located motel.
I have been coming to this hotel even before it was Motel One. The location is great, the staff is always very nice. The rooms are quiet, even though you are very close to the central square. Metro is an easy 5 minute walk away, it's ok even with a heavier larger suitcase. They could further improve the already great experience by offering filtered water in the rooms or at least proper glasses (the paper ones in the bathroom are too flimsy to drink from), and by installing a shelf in the bathroom. The bathrooms always look nice and very clean, but the fancy-look sink area is very small and badly designed so you always splash everywhere and there is very little place to put your toiletries (for a lady who likes to do her makeup.) I have to do my makeup in the main room, with dim light, and had to put my stuff on the bed, because the bedside table is very cute and designer, but also not really big enough for things not to fall off. But these are small inconveniences that are typical of "design" hotels, and I have come back multiple times. The ratio of central location/cleanliness/price is very good.
I have stayed in Copenhagen regularly for business but usually stayed in Wake-up Copenhagen or Cabin. Having stayed in Motel One in Brussels and elsewhere I decided to stay there for this visit. The reception area was small and cramped. The lift was also small and cramped. The room was disappointing. A huge headboard running along the wall but aligned not with the top of the bed but the side (unless one is less than one metre tall). The result was no support at the top of the bed and pillows falling off during the night. The absence of any TV other than that for the customers "cast" services was not advertised and some of us choose not to have such services - this is a cut back too far. All in all this was a very disappointing stay and while reasonable by Copenhagen standards - represented very poor value for money. Clearly an old building that got a surface upgrade and paint but still below the standards of Motel One in other locations.
When you enter a hotel where, when greeting you, they look you in the eye and smile, you already feel at home. If you then add the cleanliness, very accurate, both in the common areas and in the rooms, the shower with its box (!) and the proximity to the main attractions that allows you to visit Copenhagen on foot, you feel that it was the best choice!
ALT for blød en seng
Location was perfect, staff (both reception and breafastroom) were very freíendly and helpful. Room was really small though
Perfect location for Copenhagen city Centre, The staff were extraordinaily lovely and helpful, very impressed, they really went above and beyond to support and always smiling! Breakfast was very nice, e.g. lovely fresh breads and a very good variety of lovely food. Seemed all very fresh and with focus on organic. The room was clean and very nice, but rather small. Supercomfy bed! Disliked · No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Television only uses chromecast, no TV channels. Couldn't watch German or English TV. Chromecast suits some, we like just some easy switch-on news when in a hotel.
All was fantastic in general. The breakfast was superb. Also the quality and attention at the lounge-bar by barman Federico was outstanding, as well as the variety of drinks and cocktails available. Just two not very good comments:I couldn't find a way to get the room warmer. I spent so many time trying to find a thermostat or something similar on the wall. Finally, at the check out, the receptionist told me about the radiators (that I didn't see, my fault). It would have been nice to have some info available at the room (a leaflet or similar) saying how to control temperature. Also, it was impossible to watch regular TV (public channels such as BBC, etc.). It seemed to me that the only choices available at the start menu were: casting an external device (such as tablet or computer), Youtube, weather forecast and something else, but nothing just as "TV". Nevertheless, the experience was possitive.
Very smart well designed boutique hotel with friendly staff. Well positioned for Tivoli Gardens and main square.
Everything was perfect. The location of the hotel is great. Minela from reception desk made us feel like home. She is very kind and amazing person. Thank you Minela!
I stayed in the Suite at Motel One and loved it. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. It was nice to have a choice of sitting on the large chair or the long sofa. The inclusion of a luggage stand as well as a place to hang jackets and clothes was nice. No closet to speak of, but the furniture they provided did the job. The bathroom had both a shower and a tub. The shower was large enough for a person of my considerable size to use it comfortably.
Amazing stay, wonderful room and excellent location. A bit on the expensice side though.
We had a pleasant break at Motel One in Copenhagen, very friendly, helpful staff, great breakfast, and location, i would recommend it. Downside for me, no tea making facilities in room, no free tv channels, unless your subscribed to non freeview ie Netflix, paramount +etc. Looking forward to booking again.
Nice hotel for weekend away. Looking back I wish I booked a double room as I didn’t realised the bed was that small. Having no water in the room was disappointing. Also one of the lifts being out of service was inconvenient during my stay
Nice hotel, bit pricey, room OK, breakfast excellent, position excellent
Excellent spacious room, clean, with realy polite and helpful personel. Warm and nice common area. Great breakfast. In the heart of city center. Just a few steps from busiest road in city Stroget and opposite to Tivoli park. In wakable distance from the main attractions. Reasonable prices in relevance with centrtaly located hotels. All you need. Worht a visit.
The toilet was super small and tight/narrow to move and sit. My body is not big, still it was hard for me. I cannot imagine if a man wants to pee and sit down, how he can do ....
Brilliant location near all the main attractions and the metro. I asked for a quiet room, glad I did, walls are quite thin and the town hall clock chimes from 8.15am till midnight, but didn't really bother me. I liked the option of not having house keeping everyday as I don't need it and can relax in my room without getting disturbed. Didn't use the bar, lounge or WiFi.
Hotel rooms could do with a revamp. Staff working the bar disappear for ages ,after waiting 10 min I had to go to reception to see if someone could get us drinks.. Good breakfast choice but would have been nice to have fried eggs and sausage for a change rather than bacon and scrambled egg every morning.
Great location, good rooms and the staff are great
Welcoming and helpful staff. Very clean throughtout. Ideal position for exploring Copenhagen on foot.
I loved the rooms! Spacious, super clean and comfy beds! Need to upgrade the hair dryers (lol) and the opening of the shower is too narrow (it took some maneuvering coordinate the access - double lol). The bar area was great and convenient. One of the elevators was not working but the location was amazing!!!!
The bed was too soft. There was no possibility to make tea or coffee in the room. The music was too loud in the dining room at breakfast time. Music was also a useless nuisance inside the lift. There should be a shelf in the bathroom to put our things on. In spite of that it was a good experience.
Location is perfect for Tivoli Gardens and the Centre. The standard rooms are on the small side and cramped for two people. Breakfast was excellent and would recommend although restaurant was very busy no matter what time we went and struggled to get a table. Bar was lovely and so was bar food.

Your hotel in Copenhagen
Our affordable design hotel in Copenhagen is located right in the centre of the Danish capital, opposite the city hall and the Rådhuspladsen. From here, you can easily reach all of Copenhagen’s top sights – and there are plenty of them to explore. After all, the capital is one of the most important cities in northern Europe and a popular destination for city breaks, not least because it offers one of the best qualities of life in the world.
What does Copenhagen have to offer?
Top of the list of highlights is the city’s iconic landmark, The Little Mermaid. The statue of the character from Hans Christian Anderson’s fairytale awaits you on the Langelinie waterside promenade, around 30 minutes from our hotel. You’ll also find Copenhagen’s citadel here, a star-shaped 17th century fortress open to the public. And did you spot Charlottenborg Palace and the Old Stock Exchange on the walk over? You’ll also have passed Christiansborg Palace, the seat of the Danish parliament. It’s conveniently located by Copenhagen’s gastronomic hub, Nyhavn, or ‘new harbour’. There’s something to suit everyone’s tastes in the streets of this area, with their brightly coloured gabled houses dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. But Copenhagen’s lively history as a port and trading city – and the resulting architecture – is far from the only reason to visit. By the harbour, you’ll find the Royal Danish Theatre and Royal Danish Library, also known as the ‘Black Diamond’. Here, it’s not just what’s on the inside that counts: these notable examples of modern architecture are worth a stop on any city tour. And if they’ve inspired you to seek out more Nordic design, the Design Museum Denmark displays objects from the workshops of Danish designers such as Arne Jacobsen and Poul Henningsen.
Just a short walk from our hotel lies Freetown Christiania, an autonomous area that offers a very different perspective on Copenhagen – including from an architectural point of view. The alternative housing development in the district of Christianshavn has been self-governed since its creation in the 1970s and is a symbol of Denmark’s progressive culture. Our hotel in Copenhagen is also a perfect starting point for leisure activities: Tivoli, the world’s oldest amusement park, lies directly opposite. Or is Copenhagen just the first step on your Nordic discovery tour? Perfect: our affordable design hotel is located just north of the Øresund Bridge, which links Copenhagen with its neighbour Sweden.
