Another good stay in a Motel One - our first to the Brussels one. Good location for the museums and opera, nice room on high floor, as requested, but quite noisy in the morning from outside work/traffic. We'll ask for an inside room next time. Friendly staff as always, particularly in the bar. A billing error was sorted out very professionally by reception staff.
My only problem that there was a bit cold in the room (663). Even though I set the thermostat to the maximum.
Very friendly hotel staff, very good ambiance and amazing room to stay. Guests will surely have restful nights and can sleep in tranquility by feeling safe. keep it up! Thank you!
This was my forth stay in Motel One Brussels. It was short, just two nights, but it was comfortable. The reception super friendly and helpful. Love the breakfast.
Beautiful hotel, comfortable bed, lovely breakfast, spotless room with everything I needed. Staff was very nice and professional. I also loved the lounge integrating the bar.
The room was very comfortable, and cozy and had the basic amenities needed for a great stay!
Hotel is in good location. Staff is very nice and kind, smiling and helpful. Room was big enough. We stayed 4 nights and every day was cleaning different. One day it was perfect, other day it was so so.. We stayed in other Motel One hotels around Europe and always were satisfied with beds and pillows. This time we were not. Bed was too soft and pillows were too big and too stuffed. I do not understand why there are not two options for pillows (when you have two pillows anyway). Also for that price range, I would expect feather pillow, not the cheapest synthetic one.
I stay at Motel One Brussels every year for FOSDEM, also for some other private events, and it’s always great! Motel One is my first choice everywhere, if available in a city. Big fan, regular guest, and this place never disappoints. Rooms are super clean, comfortable, and have everything you need. The lobby and bar area are very nice, good place to relax after a long conference day. Staff is extremely friendly and super helpful, check-in and check-out always fast and easy. Location is also perfect, close to everything and easy to reach. Highly recommend, will come back for sure!
lobby bar is understaffed, you basically always have to walk up to the bar to get anything. I wish rooms would have higher quality bath products (body wash, shampoo and conditioner separately) or maybe offer it at the reception on demand. otherwise it's always great here.
Overall, a very nice hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the room, the service, and the overall amenities of Motel One. I would gladly stay there again. I highly recommend booking the breakfast with your stay. The breakfast was pastries, cereals, meats & cheeses, and other assortment of items. It was worth the price. Also, if you are looking for a restaurant, Floyd's (right across the street) is an great place for dining. Overall, very happy with my stay!
I’ve stayed here many times, location great, reception great, room and breakfast as expected, very good. My only beef with Motel One is that the only benefit as a loyal customer (20 years and numerous locations) your only benefit is a bottle of water 🤔
Good stay but there could be a bottle of water for each night and also a better and bigger shower's towels
would not like to have to walk this far from the elevatro next time please. apart from this everyone and everything has been absolutely perfect
Clean hotel with helpful staff offering good value stays. Rooms away from the front are quieter and the shower jet is disappointing. But the room & beds are comfortable & hotel generally quiet & friendly.
kindness, cleanness, very high quality for a convenient price, modern and wonderful breakfast!
Clean. Professional and fast service. Very good location.
Second time I've stayed in a Motel One and I realise that there are some constants in the rooms. Both times there has been a high rail with open ends I've found very useful for hanging a goat on a hanger, or a hat, or a bag. I like the recess for bags and clothes. There is an absence of opening furniture (doors, drawers) and tea and coffee facilities that I guess keeps the turnover time, and therefore the costs, down). The bathrooms are good, and the beds are very comfortable with two types of pillow. I would like more natural fibres in the bedclothes, and more clothes hangers. I would have liked to be able to make a cup of tea. The service is very good. All in all, I like this chain a lot and would happily return.
Kind staff, great facilities, good location Overall a recommended experience
very good stay; excellent staff; the room too small; bathroom very small; quality of the bed sheets could be better; very good location to some EC buildings
Exceptional
Comfortable room, excellent breakfast in a great location
All fine. The air in the rooms could be fresher.
Everything was good. The check in could be more fast.
Perfect, as usual.
The room was incredibly small and my stay was not as comfortable as my previous trips (and I paid more this time). There are now other cheaper hotels available which are much more comfortable and in better locations. In addition, please have the full range of tv channels you once had.
A MotelOne hotel is always my first choice when looking for an accommodation option, as it is always in the city center, modern with a well-behaved personnel. MotelOne Brussels is definitely a value for money hotel, right in the city center! Highly recommended, as expected!
We enjoyed our stay in Brussels very much. A particularly thanks to Mathilde, your kindness and way of being made our journey. Thanks also to François from the bar for the amazing Cocktails!
This hotel was appropriate for me. It was not far from my office and the staff was professional. From the front desk to the waitress and others, everything was perfect. How can you improve: 1-The newcomers to the Hotel don't know how to open the back door. Please add instructions for that at the door. 2-The Buffet Breakfast proposed only cold food in cold weather this was not appropriate. We would have appreciated having a Hot meal and Omelette as well. 3-Instruction on how to warm the room is essential please leave that inside the room 4--It will be good if you can make available transportation means from the hotel to Gare Central, your clients will appreciate it more. I saw an old man struggling with his luggage it was SAD. Please think about a supportive team for such people. 5- Having a restaurant would have added value to Motel One
I am diabetic and asked for a small refridgerator for insulin. They proposed to handle it. Which was ok but I would have preferred it to stay in my room. Maybe to have small ones to be used when requested
I like to stay in the Motel One but the issue with the issue with the fire alarm in the night of 13 January was very disturbing. Please make sure you can fix that since the guests need to sleep safe and quiet. On top of that, a technical failure can always happen but the guests need to be informed when it happens. There was no communication at all about it during the alarms, nor in the morning as an explanation. I would have expected something in the lift for instance or in the entrance to say that the hotel is sorry for the disturbance.
- pillows are way too thick, and no other option available at front desk - two small blankets for a double sized bed ? this is wrong - breakfast was really not good, even coffee was not drinkable - fire alarm went off 3 times in the night, two after midnight and one time at 5am. front desk told me it was a guest smoking in their room multiple time because he was intoxicated. When that happen, just escort them off site with your security, try to think of the other guests. Inexcusable.
With 4 fire alarms in the night, it was impossible to sleep. And the reception didn't even thought of proactively giving a compensation. No customer centricity here....
At 00:30 a random guest was able to open the door to my room. I was already sleeping at that moment. I do not understand how another guest could have been given a keycard to my room. I did not sleep well afterwards.
Service and accommodation is fine as always.
We really enjoyed the place! Definetly coming back. Keep up the standard please!
Good location, walking distance from main atractions, restaurants, supermarket and transportation. The staff was very friendly, specilally Ricardo who give us several recomendations. The breakfast could have more fresh options. The Wi-Fi don’t work properly at our room.
Motel one Brussels was a surprisingly nice experience. Nice vibes and quite chic atmosphere. Rooms were clean and cosy (good lighting). Very comfortable beds.
Pleasant and fast check in and out. Clean, spacious and well decorated room, comfortable bed, clean and functional bathroom. Tv showing the fireplace video when you enter the room is a nice touch. The location is good being almost in the city center. The door on the back side closer to the city center was locked in the evening and I saw no instructions of how it could be unlocked by the guests (assuming it could, granted I didn't bother to ask at the reception later). There was a bit of a stale smell in the hallway on the 2nd floor, so I think it could use some ventilation. I would recommend it for a short visit to Brussels.
I was expecting no frills and had prepped myself accordingly. So was extremely surprised to walk into a stylish and spacious lobby, bar and two level lounge area. Check in wasn’t the speediest, with other guests seemingly taking forever, but we were happy to wait and survey our weekend surroundings. Our room (on the same level as the bar) meant we didn’t have to take a lift anywhere which was a nice change. Bedroom and bathroom were compact but perfectly adequate with space to hang some clothes, hooks for coats and a large tv. There’s no tea / coffee in room but this is always available at reception and no minibar or fridge if this bothers you. All the staff we encountered on our stay were lovely. Especially the bar and breakfast team. Plus the reception team efficiently stored our luggage on the last day and booked us a taxi to the station. However housekeeping like to knock just after breakfast when you’re getting ready to head out, and did the same even on check out day. We had drinks in the bar area on our first night and this is a great place to people watch and just chill. Breakfasts were down in the lower level and paid for per morning. Multiple buffet stations with a full range of items available, although as per other reviews, it was exactly the same selection each day. The pastries and cakes were very good however I’d avoid the waffles as these were dry and like cardboard. It was appreciated that at weekend breakfast was available until 11am. My major point thou … if you open the large window / door in your room … be sure to close it properly! We spent our first night cursing the hotel for having the worst noise insulation ever. The sound of cars driving over the cobbles, the shouts and jeers from xmas revellers, workmen starting at 7am and then the nearby cathedral’s bells peeling at 15 min intervals meant we didn’t sleep the best. However this was only down to me not closing the door correctly as once rectified the room was super quiet with no disturbances.
Very uncomfortable room! No place to put your stuff! Huge, practically empty room with no wardrobe or even bedside table, no coffee machine or kettle in the room. Doesnt cost the money u pay
Clean modern hotel with compact but clean rooms. Instead of one comforter, each person gets a separate one. Good large section for breakfast. Near some good reasonable restaurants.
Had a wonderful 3 night stay in Brussels. The check in was very busy when I arrived but everyone was dealt with quickly and efficiently. The room was spotlessly clean and had every amenity needed. The room was lovely and warm. The only thing that would make this a 10/10 would be the introduction of USB sockets in the rooms so phones could be charged and to improve the WiFi stability as it kept dropping out making streaming content difficult.
It would be nice if on reception can obtain real Brussel map, not one sheet of paper with not good streets detallization. But all was nice, new bathroom also good 2 types of pillows. I liked the smallest pillow with an egonomous shape. Also, the mattress was stiff rather than soft as usual in hotels. Very good insulation of street noise despite the fact that the windows were on the street with a tram. If the window is hard closed, practically nothing can be heard. Very good breakfast. Responsive staff. The menu of bar may be more items. Room is small but if you all day away it is ok.
Booking process and confirmation easy to do. Arrived at hotel after a long and tiring journey from the UK but did not realise the entrance we had arrived at, was not the main entrance. Doors were locked and despite pressing the bell several times, remained unanswered. No sign was on the door to direct us around the building, but after using google maps, we realised this was the case, so traipsed around to the front. Check-in was straight forward and we were given a bottle of water and directed to our room on the 3rd floor. The room was clean, quite small, but adequate for our 2 day stay, although not very private, as it was overlooked by other rooms, so we kept the curtains closed. The view from our window was not exciting anyway - looked out onto a concrete quadrangle surrounded by lots of other rooms. Surprised that there was not a kettle in the room, so we were unable to make a drink. Hand and bodywash provided, along with towels. Shower was good. The hotel itself is situated up a steady incline, along cobbled paths, so although the information provided states it is in a good location, it would not suit anyone with mobility issues. I would say it's around a 10 minute walk to the nearest station (Central) then a further 10 minutes into Grand Place. Did not book breakfast, but enquired about booking on our last day, but after seeing what was available (cold meats, cheeses, breads, pastries etc) we decided it was not worth the 16.50 euros per person and went elsewhere. On checking out, we requested a taxi from reception and the helpful member of staff told us to wait inside and the cost would be 15 euros. The taxi came on time but when alighting, asked for 25 euros. we refused to pay the extra and although I realise the hotel is not to blame for this, perhaps future guests can be warned that this sometimes happens? We felt intimidated and wondered if we had mis-heard the guy on reception. Overall, it is a good basic hotel and the staff are friendly and helpful, so we were happy with most things. Would definately benefit from a kettle in the room though
Staff friendly. Breakfast great. Room comfortable. Walking distance to museums, Grand Place.
A disappointing stay. We had 3 false alarm fire alarms, one in the middle if the night which woke us up, with no explanation given! We tried to get a drink in the bar and were completely ignored, plus dirty tables all around and people sleeping on the sofas. It looked more like student hostel than a nice hotel. No coffee maker in the room and very small rooms ! All-in all not good
The hotel is overall very good, but the temperature is way too warm everywhere. This is the only reason why I would not go back - I slept poorly and, as it already happened on other occasions - developed a headache from overheating.
The front desk staff was lovely When we arrived too early for check in. When we returned a few hours later, we didn't get the (6th) floor or (courtyard) orientation they told us we would get - but the room we were given was fine. We did not ask to be moved.
Simply the best place to stay in Bruxelles
I enjoyed my two nights in Brussels. The service was good. Breakfast buffet was marvellous.
