Excellent breakfast, bar, and common areas, but the rooms are pretty small, and the views of the room with a view we were initially assigned were quite underwhelming. Still, overall, I would recommend it.
We've stayed at the Motel One brand in the past on several occasions as a couple, but didn't find the one in Aachen the most family friendly. We needed to book two rooms as we had toddlers, which we believe was completely unnecessary and the arrangements at breakfast weren't the most family friendly. Very cramped and not enough space, if we'd decided to have breakfast or toddler chairs. Bar staff appeared pre-occupied, when I needed to ask twice for toddler chairs when we were in the lobby but never arrived. A very good location, but not enough parking space in the hotel but there were alternatives not so far away but again, not very good if you have very small children. Probably not a place we'd return based on having to pay for two rooms.
Rooms quite dark and could do with a hot breakfast
Very comfortable hotel in a fantastic location within the city! The rooms are comfortable and the lounge in the lobby was an excellent place to spend time while enjoying some nice beverages. It was well-visited, which made it a very lively place.
Excellent , clean, comfortable and great bar, lounge area. Needs water in rooms daily. Paying €6 to remain adequately hydrated is not great.
Very enjoyable stay apart from the wifi which ranged from erratic to very poor.
Perfect location, nice room, good breakfast and very nice bar!
Top Motel One
Very pleasant experience! The staff was very friendly and helpful, I also enjoyed a plentiful breakfast with good choices of coffee. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Very cozy, ambiance in the lounge - bar area. I also liked the central location of the hotel, definitely would book with you again. Thanks, Rolf Schmitz
There was a big line at the check-in that took more than 20 minutes. There is no fridge in the room
The temperature inside the room was exaggerated. Opening the window wasn’t an option with all the smoker s in front of the pub.
Excellent, as usual. Only the hotel garage was full and I had to park in the Dom-Parking which was a bit of a schlepp with luggage.
Compact, functioneel, goed.
After having made a very bad and extremely rude experience in Motel One Berlin, Invalidenstraße, in March this year, I never wanted to make a step into a Motel One anymore. Thank God I gave Motel One Aachen another chance. The employees were extremely friendly and very nice. I loved my stay very much. The room was ready although I arrived very early. Thank you to everyone who made the stay that lovely, thanks for the warm welcome.
Excellent! I'll definitely come back there, as I work with colleagues from RTW
Very good hotel, but far too small breakfast area, breakfast in the lobby/bar area is very uncomfortable and very basic breakfast selection. Too few parking spaces with also complex parking method (pay every time you leave and hope to get a space when coming back. Reservation for parking spaces would make it a lot more comfortable.
Travelling with kids and a dog, Motel One is the perfect solution. I love it! 😍
The hotel is well located, clean and in good conditions. Observation the water in the shower in short intervals goes to cold the back to hot bit it is frecuently that is why I put that rate to the bathroom. Breakfast could be better with more options.
Very pleasant stay at the Motel One in Aachen! The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The lobby and hotel bar were nice, quiet and relaxing, well suited to have a quiet drink or perhaps even work in relative silence and peace. Breakfast had a nice selection of different options which I enjoyed very much. Waling outside of the hotel you find yourself in the middle of the city center, with plenty of options to go to for nice restaurants or sightseeing in the area. I enjoyed my stay at the Motel One and would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in the center of Aachen for a few days
When I checked in the receptionist was very impolite and unfriendly even discussing with me that breakfast was not included in my reservation. I had to show her my confirmation etc. It has been a different experience from other Motel One’s hotels I stayed in. I was not impressed with the employees at breakfast either. I got the impression that they are all very unhappy may be due to the working conditions??
Very Nice, but you are missing some International Channels on your television like CNN International & more BBC channels, besides that you have a great hotel and as the Terminator says, I Will Be BACK!
Would have been a 9 or 10 but aitcon did not work well and you need real "english breakfast" teabags for an englishman :-)
Really comfortable and quiet room, excellent nights sleep. Breakfast great, everything spotlessly clean. The only thing that we missed was having tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Excellent hotel and stay, brilliant location!
Nice city hotel in the centre of town , clean and modern, friendly staff . It 's a place where you can relax after a day sightseeing and shopping.
Unfortunately, paper-thin walls shortened my sleep in this quite flush hotel, so one can hear every word that is spoken next door. So, don’t forget to bring your earplugs as they don’t come as standard. Otherwise a nice place with friendly staff.
Corporate dehumanised hotel.
Very good! The staffs are very helpful and friendly. Only at the reception, one has to waitin the queue as only one receptionist is present. Otherwise, I am very satisfied in staying at Motel One.
Everything a person could need efficiently delivered by knowledgeable & pleasant staff
Great location, quiet and clean room and nice lounge, would stay again
It would have been helpful to have shelves, counter space, and/or drawers in the room. The employees were pleasant and helpful, particularly Christina & Vera (front desk), Carolina & Nicholas (bar).
All very very good. Thanks One tiny thing to point out which we meant to mention to the staff when we checked out but we forgot. Room 650 The bathroom ventilation fan didn't work at all. Just so you know.

Alles super
The Door of the Bathroom was damaged, not possible to close correctly. The reception took immediately care...
Very convenient location a short walk from both the station and the city centre. Comfortable and clean. Friendly reception. Bag storage was very helpful. Decent WiFi.
War alles tiptop
Great location and package, but unfortunately no gym.
Fantastic place - extremely kind people. A coffee maker in the room would be a nice touch. I will stay again!
Great stay. Good location. Comfortable room. Great shower. Quiet room.
excellent location in the city center; small parking garage available (first come first serve); comfortable beds; bottle of water during chck in.
Only problem was I could hear the lift loudly from my room, which interrupted my sleep. Otherwise a good choice of hotel.
Another lovely stay at a Motel One property. I love that I can expect the rooms to be the same each time, the Lounge is always great for a drink, and breakfast has all the options you could want. My only suggestion for improvement would be to put a map to the parking garage on the website, and perhaps locations of other garages close by since the one connected to the hotel is small. The downtown area is tight and easy to get turned around unless you know where you're going. thanks for a wonderful experience!
I'd appreciate another blanket, instead of 3 different kinds of 6 pillows. :) The hot water in the bathroom is very very hot. ( Yes, you can adjust, ...but nevertheless one can boil yourself easily.)
Excelent location, nice and friendly staff, good breakfast, good to have reception 24 hours, maybe it would be desirable to improve the menu at the lounge/bar and to have a fitness room
Alles super.
Tolle Marke, tolles Hotel!
Everything was ok, the room very clean and nice. Breakfast is a bit "the bare necessities", but all fresh and good quality, so it is just fine. While all the other staff were very kind, the staff person at checkout seemed quite stressed with having to find luggage for about ten people behind two separate doors and came across as somewhat harsh.
I did not received my free water as a member
Very good

Reasons to visit Aachen
Aachen has a rich and varied history. From the early Middle Ages through to the Reformation, countless kings and Holy Roman Emperors were crowned here, and it’s also where Charlemagne himself resided. That’s not all: Aachen was reconstructed as a spa town in the 17th century and holds official spa designation to this day, with plenty of thermal springs. Alongside its historical roots, Aachen has developed into an established technology hub in North Rhine-Westphalia with RWTH Aachen University – one of the largest and longest-standing universities of technology in Europe. The city also enjoys a dash of international flair. As Germany's westernmost city, Aachen borders on Belgium and the Netherlands, and this is reflected in the city’s many cultural, architectural and culinary influences. Aachen’s location – on the outskirts of the Eifel mountains, with Maastricht, Cologne, Bonn and Düsseldorf practically on the doorstep – also makes it a great base for city day trips and exploring the nearby countryside. So whatever brings you to the place where Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands meet – come and enjoy a royal welcome at our Motel One design hotel!
