SKI & SNOWBOARD

Patscherkofel (6,6 km away)
Innsbruck's backyard mountain! Situated 1400 metres above the city, the Patscherkofel has already been home to various Winter Olympics. Here, (aspiring) pros are just as happy as beginners or freestylers.

Nordkette (7 km)
Some cities have a city park, Innsbruck has a city ski area. It only takes 20 minutes to get from the city centre to the small ski area at the top of the Nordkette. With a view over the city and the Brenner Pass down the slopes - where else can you find that?! Tip: The area is mainly for advanced skiers. Lounging in deckchairs in the sunshine - also suitable for beginners!

Muttereralm (7 km)
This family-friendly ski area has slopes of all levels of difficulty. Practice slopes for beginners or varied downhill runs, a speed run - and one of the most beautiful forest runs in Austria (Götzner Abfahrt)!

Glungezer (12 km)
One for all: beginners, advanced skiers, hikers and snowboarders all feel at home in the small ski area. Highlight: the 15-kilometre-long downhill run.

Oberperfuss-Rangger Köpfl (12 km)
Small but mighty: the network of pistes is manageable, but boasts wonderful views and runs for all levels of ability, as well as ski routes & night skiing options.
