Perfect stay in friendly and well positioned hotel in Ulm.
I still don´t understand why left behind things (coffee cup last time) can be stolen by room personnel, obviously the payment is too bad? The breakfast booking was very complicated and did not reach the bookings list.
I like staying in the Motel One hotels. I know what to expect or not to expect. All I need is available. Staff always very friendly and helpful.
lack of parking space is very inconvinient
Overall, it was a good stay. The only thing I wish Motel One did was put tea and coffee facilities in the room. After a long, cold journey, you get to the hotel room… and there’s nothing to make a tea or coffee with! I really think you’re missing a trick by not having a small kettle in the room. I liked the fireplace setting on the tv though and the fact that I could actually change the thermostat to a warmer setting. You get a good amount of pillows which is good for me because I need multiple. The view from my room of the cathedral was nice. The bathroom did what it said on the tin, nothing special. The one issue I had with it was the extraction fan turned on intermittently and it wad annoyingly loud. I tried the breakfast buffet once. It was decent except there were a lot more low tables than regular ones. Eating breakfast on a coffee table is a bit awkward (the bigger coffee bar table was full so we had to sit at the low tables). The staff were always super friendly which was good and housekeeping did a nice job tidying my room and placing my hot water bottle in pride of place. Overall it wad pleasant for a hotel my company booked, but the sheer fact there is no kettle in the room would stop me booking for myself.
The noise of the fan or air extractor in the bathrooms continues to be an issue, but otherwise the hotel is wonderful.

Everything was excellent except for the bar. Bar was understaffed and chaotic. The ones making cocktails were also walking around taking orders causing long waiting times (up to 20 mins for a drink after order placed) and orders being completely forgotten.
Overall a very pleasant experience. Set up for breakfast was very uncomfortable.

Rundum gute Performance
Our stay was mostly up to the usual standards I expect when I visit Motel One. However, there were a few points I found disappointing with Ulm: - No designated own parking places in the immediate vicinity to the hotel. Rathaus Parking was also very expensive. - The window in our room no. 2.22 was very dirty - The bar was not open until 17:00. No possibility to have your toasts or a drink during the day. Otherwise, apart from a slightly strangely layout Bar on the 5th floor, the evening and breakfast bar staff were extraordinarily friendly and efficient.

Booking of family room should be possible onilne, currently only by phone call.

Our group of 12 first timers in Ulm, Motel OneMünstetplatz, best place to stay for sightseeing Ulm Münster, Fischerviertel, Danube, Farmers Market, guided tour at beer brewery GoldOchsen, all in walking distance. Great rooftop bar, space for many, comfortable seats, fantastic ambiance, fast dedicated service. Excellent experience.

Excellent Location! The room was small but very well decorated and clean. Cool bar and lounge on the 5th floor. I had to leave early for a family emergency and the staff worked with me on a refund. I would definetly stay here again.
This hotel was great! Conveniently located right in front of the Munster and within walking distance to the shops and restaurants of Ulm. The room was clean, quite large, and had windows that fully open to allow fresh air in. The rooftop bar and lounge were my favorite part about this hotel. Plenty of plush seating and great views of the Munster, and the bar service was phenomenal. The servers were attentive, friendly, and professional. Finding parking close to the hotel was a bit of an issue, so if you plan on driving to Ulm, do your parking garage research in advance. We parked in a public lot closer to the train station only to find out there was a parking lot a couple hundred meters closer to the hotel. Be prepared to walk your bags from the parking lot to the hotel though, as there is no way of pulling up directly to the hotel.
overall, a great place. misses the mark regarding international guests. would have liked the option of English TV, mostly for ambiance. interesting that there was no phone or clock. AC/fan never really worked, needed to open windows for air recirculation. seriously, I would definitely come back regardless. all staff was great.

Love the design of the hotel. Rooms a little too basic although I understand that is your approach. Adding a kettle to make a drink would be a really nice addition.
Very clean, beautiful rooftop and great breakfast. Efficient check-in. Only downside is noise of the fan in the bathroom. Also I did not find a "do not disturb" sign to hang on the door.
Well located in the centre, with just a short stroll to the historic old town. Very friendly and welcoming staff throughout. More expensive than I usually like to pay, but for a city centre hotel it is reasonable value for money.

Location is perfect. Right on the Muenster Platz, with a great view of the Muenster. Also a good view of the market that set up on our last day. The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk from the station, it is opposite the tourist office and at the start of the 2 historical walks around the old city. The rooftop bar is great in the evening, although the service is a little quirky. Only complaint is that the air conditioning is totally inadequate. temperature outside was over 30C, and about the same in the room even with the air con running full time.
Pretty much faultless. Perfect location, very clean, well appointed room. Air con very welcome . I found the duvet a bit lumpy and heavy. I would have liked tea and coffee facility in the room. Very friendly staff, convenient check in/out times. Good bar and reception facilities. Reasonable price.
Fantastic location right in the City centre. Rooms are spacious, and the roof terrace bar is amazing.
We had a nice 4-day stay at Motel One in Ulm. Location can’t be beat, and the cafe/lounge up on the roof was fantastic. Staff was great too. The room was quite small but functional. Bed and bathroom were decent too. The only issue we had was with the AC in the room, which was not very effective in the heat. But we managed ok and still enjoyed our stay very much. There is no parking, but the Stadthaus parking garage is just a few minutes walk. The price was very reasonable as well. We would definitely stay there again but try to get a larger room.
Mega Rooftop bar, alles bestens
I like cleanliness, quietness, comfortable bed/sleep in the night. Suggestion: Please provide (similar to your competitors) coffee machine and few coffee pods and also provide a water bottle (1L) in room instead of handing over water bottle to guest at the time of checkin in reception. If the room is booked for multiple days provide water bottle 1L/day.

Great hotel. Lovely room. Shower really good but very small bathroom. Bed and bedlinen excellent. Arrived after long journey and no one on reception desk but busy in private area. Welcome ok after that. Superb bar, staff and drinks menu choice. Absolutely excellent. Would highly recommend.

The hotel staff is good however not many speak English and we were battling with communication a few times.
Lækkert hotel midt i den spændende by Ulm. Gode, pæne og store værelser. Lækker morgenmad med god kaffe

Hvis Albert Einstein stadig havde været blandt os, ville han utvivlsomt have følt sig godt tilpas i vores Motel One Ulm. Behagelige plyslænestole i One-hotellernes ikoniske turkis indbyder til at tænke, gruble og spekulere ved kaminilden. One-hotellets flotte lobby og konferencelokale egner sig fortrinligt til intens filosoferen over naturlovene. Og med en friskmixet drink fra Panoramabar med udsigt til kirken Ulm Münster kan geniet endda betragte sine egne noter. Væggene er nemlig dekoreret med hans skriblerier. Hvordan var det lige med ækvivalensen mellem masse og energi? Nå jo, E = mc2.
Er det tid til en lille pause? I designhotellets rummelige værelser og på den stilfulde tagterrasse med Ulmer Münster i baggrunden kan Ulmers berømte bysbarn lade sine små grå celler slappe af. Et geni bliver jo aldrig færdig med at lære.
Selv under vores solide morgenmad handler alt om naturlovene. Kast et blik på de farverigt dekorerede vægge og lofter, og fortab dig i molekylernes dans.
Har du lyst til at opleve Albert Einsteins hjemby på tæt hold? Så er Motel One Ulm det helt rigtige sted. Designhotellet ligger godt placeret midt i byen. Du kan nemt nå de mest berømte seværdigheder til fods eller på cykel – ligesom Albert Einstein gjorde det for 100 år siden.
Lige uden for din gadedør, undskyld hoteldør, kan du stifte bekendtskab med Ulmer Münster. Som en smuk kæmpe tårner verdens højeste kirketårn sig op foran dig – hele 162 meter. Over for dette virker de små træhuse kaldet Ulmer Grabenhäusle nærmest som dværge. Man er næsten i øjenhøjde med nogle af de historiske huse fra 1600-tallet.
Og du kan også møde Albert Einstein i egen høje person. Midt på området for det historiske tøjhus rækker den vævre fysiker uhæmmet tunge – altså fra en atomraket. For hvad ville Einstein-brønden være uden en dråbe kvantefysik?
Knurrer maven? Hvad med at prøve Albert Einsteins yndlingsspise? Ophavsmanden til E = mc2 kunne simpelthen ikke få nok af Schupfnudeln. Så er det godt, at du kan få den schwabiske klassiker tæt på dit hotel i Ulm – selvfølgelig på traditionel vis sammen med surkål. Einstein ønsker dig "Velbekomme!" på smukt schwabisk.
