The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was just right, and the staff was outstanding
The best location for Edinburgh. Warm welcome, great rooms and a lovely relaxed bar area with good views.
Great service and very helpful staff. Decor very pleasant and the hotel is ideally situated. However, I think £13pp for continental breakfast extortionate!! we breakfasted elsewhere..
A very pleasant stay in Edinburgh. We were greeted by a lovely girl who was very friendly and gave us directions to the Playhouse and a restuarant we had booked. Our room was clean with a very comfortable bed and the bathroom was ideal. The hotel is in the perfect location with just off Princes Street. We are in Glasgow next month and are staying in Motel One there as well.

Great stay, super friendly and helpful staff. Clean, small but nice room. Perfect for a city trip. Only the shower had a problem with the water: it had almost none coming out. Washing one's hair was near impossible.

We had two rooms from 7th to 8th Dec,very comfortable stay,clean,lovely beds and pillows,clean bathrooms,I an excellent location...thankyou so much for a lovely stay.

Friendly, attentive staff. Central location. Nice bar area. Standard, but comfortable and clean room.
The only thing that is disappointing and have stayed manh times is the lack of places to put stuff in rooms. Needs bedside tables
-Our Comfort Double room was very small with a view into other rooms across the way. Fine for one or two nights but not enough space if staying longer. Bathroom door opens out on to bed. -Entrance not easy to find and could be better signposted. Also anyone can enter the hotel and use the lifts to go up to the rooms without any security key up to 10pm at night. -Bar area too bright for evening drinks and seating arrangements could be better. -Reception staff very friendly & welcoming. -Location is excellent for transport, shops & restaurants. -Room & Bathroom were spotlessly clean and the finish in the bathroom was to a very good standard. We would stay here again but maybe upgrade to a more spacious room.
Clean and comfortable room, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Special thanks to Hailey on reception who found a bag we left behind in the room and ensured it got back to us before we left Edinburgh. Would happily stay here again

Excellent central location. Check-in and check-out was very smooth. Very friendly and attentive staff. No hot breakfast option but I didn’t miss this at all as the range of other breakfast options was excellent. The room was clean and on the whole very comfortable. However, the room was too warm, even with the window open. There is no AC but they do provide a fan in the room which made it bearable when sleeping.
Have stayed in this hotel 3 times. This was our first in cold weather. There is no heating or heated towel rail in the bathroom so towels needed to be changed every day as they were cold and damp in the morning. Not very environmentally friendly. Cardboard cups and wooden stirrers don’t make a morning cup of tea very pleasant. We had to borrow proper cups and spoons from the dining area. Other than that the hotel is perfect for us. Friendly helpful staff, lovely breakfast and only moments from the railway station.
First time at motel one in Edinburgh and it was great in every way. Location was very central and from we arrived until we left staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were basic but bad everything you needed from tea/coffee through to hairdryer. Room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was really nice with a a lot of choice and well stocked. Would definitely stay again at this hotel.

Unfortunately the rooms allocated were not as we thought they would be ( double bed, not singles). This was rectified the next night. The staff were lovely, polite and helpful. Don't particularly like the decor in the bar. No real atmosphere. Breakfasts good selection. Being in Scotland I had hoped for homemade porridge, not the tub variety. Bathrooms need updating. More storage needed in rooms.
Great location near everything, smart modern decor, comfy bed, spotlessly clean, and best of all, wonderful friendly and courteous staff. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay... and went back for seconds! (My only quibble was the water pressure and temperature of the shower that could be just a wee bit stronger and warmer.)
Perfect location, wonderful staff, room was small but that’s to be expected in a city centre so no marks off for that but something to be aware of if you are booking
Brilliant one night stay, staff were friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our mobility scooter and needed to hire one, staff were great let us leave our scooter for the day at the hotel whilst we used the one we had hired, thank you guys!! We had a great accessible bedroom with walk in shower and plenty of grab rails the only thing we needed was a shower chair as my husband has difficulty standing for long enough to take a shower but all in all a fantastic stay. Thank you.
Great stay. Checked in online & had our key at 11am which was lovely. Receptionist was very welcoming on arrival. Room very nice & comfortable. Nice view of Princes Street. All staff was friendly especially Franco in the bar. Keep up the good work xx
It was our second stay at motel one. First one was at tower hill. We love your hotel, people always kind, both location was very good, its always clean. Our satisfaction is close to 100%, but i can give three suggestion. 1-) Better wifi 2-) Android tv, so we can watch netflix,youtube etc. at night 3-) Little closets. We will come to London in june again, we booked again for your Towel Hill hotel. See you soon 😊
Good central location, very clean and comfortable room, staff in Reception were very personable and professional.
From the moment I went to reception until check out 2 days later, I felt comfortable and at ease with the hotel enviroment. This including Reception Bar/Resturant and Bedroom areas. Down side, I have never been a great fan of 2 single beds pushed together, to make a double. Value for money, its Edinburgh, Edinburgh does not give value for money. Why two Motel Ones within 500 metres of each other?
Excellent customer service, very clean and fabulous location. Street view was good, only thing spoilt it was the light outside the window maybe blackout blind or curtains would help?
Motel1 is a modern well equipped hotel in a central location. The reception and all staff are friendly and helpful. I will be back

Great location. We used this hotel a few times. Great service. Comfortable rooms. Only criticism is the Wi-Fi isn’t always working. We usually use Motel one whenever we travel.

First time in a motel one ,easy check in friendly efficient staff,breakfast was plentiful and breakfast room staff all smiles ,looked after the luggage when we checked out .Room clean And comfortable water hot nice decor highly recommended will certainly use this chain again
The air con wasn’t working in room and was very warm which was nice when first came in but prefer sleeping with a cooler room. Also the cushions for pillows felt strange for what I am used to sleeping on. Very lovely having the fire place effect on the TV as you entered the room. The toilet was a little high compared to most other toilet heights.

I enjoyed my stay and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. All the communally areas were clean although there were tables in the bar area were left uncleared for some considerable time. As for the room I found the mattress very firm and the pillows very uncomfortable. The quality of the toiletries was poor and it was difficult to get a good hot shower. I was pleasantly surprised how quite the room was and there was no noise from the other rooms.
Dejligt værelse, skøn morgenmad. Super hjælpsomme medarbejdere! Godt initiativ med muligheden for at fravælge rengøring på de korte ophold. Alt var perfekt!

Havde forventet et lidt større udvalg af varm morgenmad. Der manglede senge borde/hylder så man kunne have en bog, telefon mm ved siden af sengen til når man skulle sove. Sengelamperne var ikke de bedste i verden. Der var ikke meget plads i familie værelset at have sine ting hvis vi havde tømt kufferterne, så vi havde kufferterne på værelset og så blev der lidt trængt. Men meget venligt personale der altid var imødekommende. Vi brugte ikke baren. Lougen området brugte vi kun i forbindelse med morgenmaden. Det var rart at hotellet er bemandet døgnet rundt. Beliggenheden var rigtig god! I forhold til prisen kan meget så opgraderinger virkelig give value for money.
Opkrævede for meget ved ankomst og sagde vi ikke havde morgenmad med i prisen. Det blev refunderet da vi viste vores booking bekræftelse. 2 dage i træk kom der ingen rengøring og vi måtte derfor i receptionen og bede om at få tømt fyldt skraldespand, mere toiletpapir og nye håndklæder. Udover det var hotellet fint og god beliggenhed.
Besøg i Edinburgh for ferie. Meget kedelig morgenmad - frugt fra dåse, kedeligt brød og kolde blødkogte æg. Virkelig dårlig morgenmad i forhold til andre Motel one

Fint godt centralt hotel. Rengøringen på værelset var ikke i top. Sengetøjet blev ikke skiftet på 6 overnatninger, trods vi desværre havde spildt cola på dynebetrækket. Fortrød at have bestilt med morgenmad - dyrt til kvalitet.
Endnu et skønt ophold. Super tilfreds med betjeningen - jeres personale er skønne! Kommer retur lige om lidt igen.

Super dejligt hotrl med bedste beliggenhed i byen. Velfungerende værelse uden særlig gadestøj pænt og rent. Venligt og imødekommende personale og hurtig betjening. Vi har boet på hotellet tidligere og ville bo her igen næste gang vi skal til Edingburgh. Morgenmad fin nok men med kedeligt bake-off brød. Synd hotellet ikke prioiteter at servere ordentlig kvalitetsbrød. Vi spiste ude i byen for dsmme pris og fik dejlig morgenmsd. Men ville hsve foretrukke at spise på hotellets hyggelige morgenmadsrestaurant.,
