Perfect convenient location. Bar was great! Lobby was cozy, the fact that the Christmas market was right outside your door, 100%.
I loved the location being so central to the Christmas Markets and public transportation. As an American (US) we tend to like hot breakfast, scrambled eggs, sausage, etcetera, so the cold breakfast wasn't quite what I expected. No fault of your own as when in Switzerland I should expect to eat as a local. Your team was very friendly, and your rooms were very clean. I also loved having the balcony.

Loved the hotel! How hardly anything to say bad about it. Great location, clean, super friendly staff and love the gin bar! My only complaint would be so minor and that would be to maybe have a couple more amenities in the room like lotion and conditioner although I think this is why the price is right.
Amazing spot for the Christmas markets in Basel. The team were really friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean. I would definitely recommend booking there, the location is ideal.

My room was very small whereas my colleagues were given bigger rooms with room purifiers. Didn’t really like the way I was treated. Anyways it’s okay!!
I had an excellent experience at Motel One and am glad I chose to stay there rather than at any of the conference hotels. The location was not only scenic (next to the Basel history museum), but extremely convenient with the tram stop just outside the door. Excellent value for money.

Only two little weaknesses : 1. temperature of the room is pretty cold in winter and it seems that it is blocked and cannot be set individally by room and 2. the number of seats/tables for the breakfast is too limited (at the peak hour)

Central located. Friendly staff. Good room albeit spartan but functional. High quality furniture, tv, bed, etc. Good breakfast but please do something with the seating. Not enough place for all customers and the cozy/loungy armchairs/sofas are far from functional.

Room was clean, comfortable & nicely furnished. We loved the complimentary breakfast and the lovely lounge. Staff was extremely helpful with directions and in calling a taxi the day we checked out. Very convenient location in the center of the old town.
whenever there a Motel one, we are going to book our stay there. We don't eat breakfast but we do like to have a coffee in the morning. It's not a big deal because usually we can step out of the hotel and get a coffee from a coffee shop, but the prices for a coffee in the morning or a beer before we go in the room are too high in my opinion (compared to the prices in the surrounding restaurants)

Liked the location. People/staff very friendly. Didnt feel our thermostat was working as it did not get any cooler. But staff said they might not be allowed to have it be more than 10 degrees off from outside. Either way didn’t seem to be working. Tv was ok but didn’t think there was a menu channel that told which stations were in English. You had to scroll thru all channels. Furniture was too low for some people in our party.

I very much enjoyed my stay at Motel One. The room was comfortable and very quiet. The location was perfect as I was attending a congress and had quick access to public transportation.
We enjoyed the atrium-facing rooms which were especially quiet, and that this was a non-smoking property. Location is ideal, staff are friendly and helpful.

The shower door had a gap beneath it, causing water to run into the bathroom. The first day, this soaked the bath mat so I couldn’t waive room cleaning because I needed a dry bath math. The second day, I knew better and placed the bath mat further away, but then it was just an uncomfortable pool of water that I needed to keep avoiding while using the bathroom. The second night, I was kept awake by a loud ticking/dropping sound, coming from the ceiling/hallway. I checked the bathroom, it wasn’t the shower or the sink. I was already prepared to sleep so I did not want to get dressed, get to the reception and (worst case) move to another room, but it was very unpleasant and kept me up for hours, because it kept stopping and then returning as well.
This is hotel is in a perfect location for walking around and catching trams to the train station and to interesting sites. The rooms are very functional. The breakfast is very good. The lobby is welcoming. I would say that the drinks are fairly expensive.

I think it was a perfect hotel, with a sleek design that provided comfort at the same time. The hotel had a good breakfast, friendly staff, and a great location, all of which made it a good experience. Breakfast could have more options, but it was enough.

The aircon is not very effective and no fridges are provided in the rooms. Some staff were friendly but overall the experience was very average and I would not stay again.

Would prefer glass cups in the bathroom, as paper cups fall over. The aircon in the room was good and discreet.
Location great but do not take Uber to the hotel. Only taxis can drive to the Hotel. Motel failed to warn us... Yvonne and Dan were great.

this is my six time in the handicap, hotel room here in Basel. Great bedding, wonderful bed clean well maintained the staff absolutely outstanding. Very personal and it does not switch over.

Der mangler elkedel til kaffe og te på værelserne. Papkrus på badeværelset ok, men hellere et rigtig glas. Vi havde to ophold med forskellige værelser. Det ene havde kun en smal hylde til tøj mv.

Staff ar M1 Basel are very efficient, helpful and customer focused - Reception, breakfast staff and bar staff. Brilliant location in centre of Basel - lovely to sit outside for breakfast or late at nights and close to all transport links and all sights. Free travel card is a real bonus. Very good breakfast selection. Rooms are not very big but fine as only in room to sleep - excellent, modern bathroom with no-clean option which is a positive environment step.
Dear Sirs, This was the third time I choosed your hotel but now it was a disappointment. The main reasion of this that I left the hotel very early in the morning on the 17th July due to my flight. I asked for a taxi and also a breakfast box (as it is usual in other places when you cannot have your normal breakfast) two days before my departure. The recepcionist was a bit surprised but got the promise that it is arranged. The taxi was OK, but I got nothing as a breakfast box. I know that the hotels not having kitchen can order "sandwich box" specially designed for this purpose. The other reason was my room. Though I arrived for business purposes and not for holiday I expected a normal hotel room. The room looked onto the New Yorker and did not have real window, which was disappointing in such a nice summer weather - I even had to switch on the light when - assumingly - the sun was shining. I know that I could have asked for another room at the very first moment an finally accepted, ok, this is only for work so not to complain. But in the light of the disappointment of my last morning I am really sad about my decision not to change the room. In a nutshell, I will never come back to your hotel and will evaluate similarly on the google map. Yours sincerely.
Everything was as expected, the reception area, the breakfast area, and the room. Folks at the reception were helpful. The room was quiet. The only suggestion I have is that you guys add the basic stuff to make coffee and tea. That is pretty standard and it would be nice to have that in the room. Thank you!
Great location Clean room and bath
Some of the staff were very helpful and efficient. However when our 2 disabled friends arrived no one was available to help them unload their car and take their luggage to their room. We were surprised to find neither a fridge or coffee/tea tray in the room and this was even more of a let down as there was no room service either.
