A nice modern hotel. What would have made it a fabulous hotel would be to have coffee/tea-making facilities in the bedroom, and a small restaurant offering simple meals in the evening. A few more toiletries in the bathroom (make-up remover pads, shower cap, etc) would have been useful, too. I didn’t like the room I had been allocated - absolutely no view whatsoever - and was given a room at the front of the hotel with a view of the park (and a distant view of the sea) which made my stay more pleasant. The breakfast was adequate, but I was surprised that we weren’t offered anything hot - like scrambled eggs, for example.
Staff is good (negative: negative talking about other staff group, and an important wrong information at reception which lead ti a wrong room) to great, and exceptional (the bar people were very nice and welcoming). Negative: The price, which is much too high in comparison to other MotelOne places and how it used to be! Also: The Special rooms are not bigger, how it is usually in other MotelOnes, just the view (which is great) - and the higher price. So nevertheless the same room size (too small for two people for more than one night), it‘s unfortunately one of the most expensive I have experienced. We payed over 660€ for 4 nights.
The hotel decor was beautiful with a touch of fun with the swing chairs in the bar. The staff were amazing all with outstanding customer service skills. They couldnt do enough for you. The location of the hotel was great with bus links outside. I already cant wait to go back

Great stay! Location is amazing, right in front of ciutadella park and close to metro station. The location has many nice restaurants near by and everything in the hotel is nice. Small rooms but super clean and nice decoration.
I understand that it is a budget hotel but not even having a glass to drink water from is pretty disappointing to be honest. When in need of hot drinking water we are having to repeatedly come down to the bar and get in our personal flask, which is pretty stupid if you ask me.
All of the team members at Motel One Barcelona Ciutadella are great. Very helpful, suggest places for dinner and sightseeing. I am very happy to stay at Motel One in Barcelona Ciutadella anytime I am in Barcelona.

My only criticism is that the room was small but it was adequately equipped and comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful and all other services were very well delivered.
Despite the overall positive experience with the hotel's friendly and helpful staff, I regret to say that my stay was significantly impacted by the behavior of the manager at the reception. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name, but she mentioned she is the manager and she doesn’t have a manager to talk with. Her manner was neither respectful nor professional, and I feel bad for the staff working under her. I would not recommend staying at this hotel due to her conduct. Thank you for your understanding. Hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was great. Breakfast was also very nice.
Perfect location, clean, rooms are comfortable, breakfast was very good, rooftop is picturesque! Friendly staff! Something to improve: I didn't know that I could have bottles of water on the bar as a guest, until I saw other guests exchanged vouchers for bottles of water on my final day of stay. I wasn't informed about that and was told only that tap water was drinkable. Also, there were no slippers in the room, I expected them to be there so didn't take mine. Paper cups were not replaced every day, however I used them. It's a shame that glasses are not offered anymore, but that's the case for all Motel Ones I suppose, since I've visited Motel One in Warsaw and Brussels and they also had paper cups.

Bed mattress had seen better days. Breakfast was boring at best. What was labelled as ‘muesli con frutas’ was just oat flakes. No dried fruit or nuts.

Well situated, chosen for the parking, Double room but only one chair. No diffuser on hairdryer Most other hotels provide 500ml bottle of water per person per day of stay!

The stuff on the desk front was very helpful, the room was clean, breakfast and stuff was very good. Just my room was not cleaned over all my stay, and also the buttle of the shampoo & body wash in my room not comfortable : each time that pressing to have the shampoo it’s not jumping up to have more shampoo ..
only things missing are terrace and fridge, rather than that the hotel is absolutely amazing
Would have liked option to make coffee in the room and an iron and an ironing board in the room too. Otherwise it was perfect - staff so friendly.
Was upgraded to room overlooking the park which was very nice of staff. Room was clean. Breakfast was ok but not sure it was worth the price. Great stay overall and would stay there again.
Excellent hotel! Friendly staff and the best Motel One breakfast, which I have ever breakfasted :). And I have visited many Motel One hotels. All are good, but this is best!

Excellent location across from wonderful Parc Ciutadella, quiet neighborhood, comfortable beds, very helpful staff. Bathroom could use a few more amenities, a bit austere or minimalist for a 3-star hotel.

All was excellent, we very much enjoyed our stay and would stay with you again. Thank you. We particularly liked: 1. location, 2. room cleanliness, 3. room view, 4. helpful staff/ receptionists (and 24 hour open reception), 5. nice decor of the hotel and rooms (ground floor cafe was very nice, so was a rooftop terrace), 6. safe in room, 7. TV channels in the room. It would have been even better if the room had: 1. a small fridge, 2. a coffee machine or kettle with some coffee and tea options, 3. a slightly softer mattress
This was my first time staying at a Motel One, and I'm pleased to say it was great! The location in Barcelona was excellent, the room was cosy and comfortable (amazing bed and shower) – and it was very quiet too. The roof terrace is an nice addition too, and I really liked the bar downstairs, the decor was great. So overall, I would definitely stay here again :-)
Clean, friendly and central. All staff were very welcoming and helpful with advice and recommendations. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet and the hotel facilities were just what I needed. I'd definitely stay again in the future and will recommend to anyone who asks me about staying in Barcelona.
Regarding room. Missing small refrigerator. Useless big table and chair / sofa in small room.

+ Location is perfect. Staff was friendly. Luggage storage is free. Room is clean. — There is no wardrobe in the room. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. There was no warm food like scrambled eggs, sausage.
Our stay was very good. Nice atmosphere, beautiful interior design, wonderful view of the park. Although the rooms are a tiny bit small it didn't affect our enjoyment.
Enjoyed our stay! Nice staff. Clean room. Good location. Recommendations would be - something to help keep the bathroom door from slamming, door stopper? We used a shoe. A working fan for the bathroom steam. Body lotion and conditioner. More towels. Another towel bar for outside of the shower. A phone to call the lobby & use for wake up calls or emergencies.
Rent og pænt hotel. Meget serviceminded personale. Vi ved, hvad vi skal forvente, da konceptet er ens overalt. Vi havde mistet en iPhone i Barcelona, som blev fundet og indleveret i receptionen på hotellet efter, at vi var taget hjem. Vi fik fantastisk service hos hotellets personale, som jeg talte og mailede med flere gange. De pakkede telefonen, så vi kunne få den afhentet af DHL. Vi har været adskillige gange på Motel One i Barcelona, Hamburg og Berlin, og det er bestemt ikke sidste gang, vi kommer.
Blev mødt af de venligste front desk personale vi har oplevet på de rejser vi har foretaget. Atmosfæren på hotellet var afslappet og særligt tagterrassen var virkelig kærkommen og et super dejligt sted at nyde en kold tår at drikke og få slappet af.
Fint centralt hotel med venligt personale og en skøn tagterrasse. Værelserne er små, men pæne og rene. Udsigten til parken er helt fænomenal. Det trækker lidt ned at tagterrassen først åbner kl 11, hvilket føles som spild af en god mulighed om morgenen og at morgenmaden er temmelig dyr i forhold til det meget lille udvalg.
Top værelse med skøn terrasse. Morgenmad og baren fungerede perfekt under vort ophold. Alle var super venlige. Manglede cromcast eller lignende setup på tv'et
Venligt og hjælpsomt personale, God morgenmad Super rent Location var ok, men alt for mange hjemløse i telte i parken - gav utryghed når man rejser med et lille barn.
Rummene er meget små og mit værelse var meget fugtigt - så meget at jeg følte at jeg sov med våde håndklæder .
Vi er fan af denne hotelkæde, hvor vi har været på flere forskellige destinationer. Denne gang Barcelona. Altid fine omgivelser, venligt personale Vi har booket i Berlin til sommerferien

På vores Motel One Barcelona-Ciutadella kombinerer vi typisk spansk byggestil med regionalt producerede designmøbler og henter inspiration fra den omgivende flora og fauna. Faktisk er resultatet så enestående, at du hurtigt glemmer, at du egentlig kun er her for at overnatte. I receptionen med dens karakteristiske cementfliser, i de hyggelige lænestole fra den spanske designer Patricia Urquiola, på de smukke tæpper fra det lokale firma Nanimarquina: Overalt på hotellet inddrager vi den naturlige atmosfære fra den nærliggende park. Pendellamper fra designhuset Bocci leder tankerne hen på blomsterbuketter, mens gulve af spansk natursten giver indretningsdesignet et rustikt touch. Et stort udendørsområde med lounge indbyder til afslappende stunder under åben himmel.
På vores værelser går det naturnære design ligeledes igen: Boxsengenes hovedgærde er udsmykket af den unge illustrator Lara Costafreda, der har ladet sig inspirere af temaerne planter, natur og jungle. Selvom Motel One Barcelona-Ciutadella altså absolut er værd at opholde sig på, må du selvsagt ikke helt glemme Barcelonas mange spændende attraktioner. Ikke langt fra hotellet finder du parken Ciutadella, der indbyder til afslappende gåture i det grønne. Andre vigtige seværdigheder tæller UNESCO-attraktionen Sagrada Familia, kirken La Catedral, den pulserende Rambla og den centrale plads Plaça de Catalunya. ¡Benvinguts a Barcelona!
