The staff was very helpful and attentive. In the room there are some things that I felt were missing such as sleepers. Also, there is no phone in the room, so for any questions, you must go down to the reception. Also, I think it is time to replace the mattresses as they were too soft and had a socket
I was cold at night and there was no extra blanket in the bedroom.The reception caters more for international travellers rather than providing a local experience in catalan or spanish.
The standard room is a little small. Should provide kettle facilities in the room

Friendly staff, they answered all our questions and satisfied our every needs. Amazing location, close to the hip Born neighborhood and Eixample. Room was comfy enough, maybe we missed a closet to store our belongings. Breakfast was very good, great quality at a fair price.

if there would be anything to say it regards the misunderstanding related to the terrace. we were told the terrace is open until the evening, so we planned according. It turns out the last floor terrace with the amazing view to Barcelona city closes at 19:00 and only the ground floor terrace with a view to walls is open until 22:00. we did our get together anyway, but it was a pity we never managed to see the view of Barcelona
The reception staff is very friendly, making the process quick and simple. Check-in takes only a few minutes, and check-out is hassle-free—just return the key card. The hotel is modern and neat, with functional yet cozy rooms. However, the rooms lack a desk, which might be inconvenient if you need to work on your laptop. The ground floor features a spacious open area with high ceilings and glass-paneled walls that overlook the street, housing the lobby, lounge, and bar. You can enjoy a delightful breakfast here, bathed in the morning light filtering through the trees outside the window wall.
Very big thanks and hello to all the reception staff, everyone was super friendly and glad to help, and in good spirits, which was so important to see and feel. Thank you for the luggage stay 2x, for the extending of the stay in the same room and for the iron and needle and button xD until next time!

Excellent service from the entire hotel team. From friendly check-in/out, to the room service and cleanliness - to the breakfast. I was impressed by the service for people with physical disabilities. Everything is accessible for people with handicap. Great. There is nothing negative to report. Thanks a lot fot thr great experience. Unreserved recommendation

Nice, stylish, clean and comfortable hotel in a great position and with helpful, friendly staff. The rooms are very nice but quite small with not much space to store your clothes.
The public areas are expansive and welcoming, the rooms small but clean, the bathrooms well designed, the breakfast is generous and the location is terrific. The staff could not be more welcoming and helpful.

The hotel was very nice and the staff work really hard to make sure everything runs smoothly. The breakfast was delicious and had a mixture of continental and traditional Spainiard food. The room service really does clean the room everyday unless told otherwise. Really relaxing atmosphere in the lobby.

Good interior design, nice atmosphere
The location is great if you want a local experience. We felt safe in the area at all times. It was near the Arc d' Triumph. There are many cafes, bars, markets and restaurants nearby. A large breakfast is available at the hotel, but we ate at the Boheme cafe about a block away every morning. Their 4-ounce Nutella pastry was outstanding!
Location, pricing, atmosphere: good. However, compared to the other Motel One houses I visit freqently, the quality of the beds was poor! And there were ongoing problems with the WiFi at my room so that I was only able to work down at the lobby. Poor!
Great location with stylish design and very friendly staff. Some basic amenities missing (water kettle, mini fridge) that would have made for a more convenient experience. Breakfast was not the best value for money; some of the produce tasted overripe and dishes were not fully clean. Impressive cocktail menu at the bar but food/snack menu could use more options. Overall the room was comfortable and quiet and I would stay here again.
Wonderful stay at luxurious hotel with an excellent staff, a great roof top deck a central location. Highly recommended.
Really enjoyed staying here, and all was going well until the 2nd day, when the room was making a noise all through the night. It was like a water tank continually making a noise. I did report it to reception the next day and was told they will send someone to look into it. Hope they fixed it for the next guest at least.

We enjoyed our stay at Motel One tremendously. The rooms were nicely furnished, the location of the hotel is unbeatable, but the best are the common spaces - courtyard, rooftop, bar/caffee. We had a wonderful time!

I had a good experience with Motel One, the stay was pleasant and I appreciate the good location. I have one comment: As a local living abroad who comes back from time to time to my hometown invited by companies or research institutions, I fid it awkward the almost complete absence of Catalan --both written and spoken-- in your hotel. A bit of effort here would make your place really special. Best wishes
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The staff at the reception and bar were really friendly and helpful. As we arrived early, we could safely leave our belongings until our room was ready. The hotel is lovely and stylish. The location of the hotel itself was very good for us, close to the centre, but not noisy, safe environment. There were places to eat nearby and we were able to go for a walk in the park just outside. The room was tidy and cosy, but a bit small compared to the photos, there was not even a wardrobe to put things in, and we didn't have a TV to turn on Netflix or the English language movie we wanted. Lots of German and Spanish local TV channels. I can't comment on the food as we hadn't ordered breakfast and didn't eat. Overall I recommend the hotel.
I normally love your hotels, but this experience was quite disappointing. The "welcome" from reception was very cold, and then when we were trying to have a quiet lunch in your lovely bar area, there was a cleaner with a very load vacuum cleaner for about an hour moving in and out of our chairs (and the whole area). Very hard to talk - she was only doing her job, but I wonder if that had to be scheduled at midday? I will still recommend the hotel, because generally the experience is so nice. I hope things get better.

The room was ok. Bedding was comfortable and sleep was quiet. Overall I was satisfied with the room. The TV fireplace was an interesting touch but a little annoying. If it had only the fireplace it would be background atmosphere but it sometimes turned into some kind of advertisement. The fact that the TV turned itself on every time instead of following the last action was also suboptimal. The bathroom was the least attractive part of the room. It was quite warm and didn't have any active humidity removal device. After a second shower my towel was very wet and whereas in other hotels it usually dries from one day to the other, here it seemed to soak up the humidity from the bathroom. After day 2 the towel was very heavy and permanently humid. The towel hangers on the door were also unable to hold the towel, which kept slipping and falling on the floor. It also took me a while to find the switch to the light of the bathroom. I didn't expect it to be behind the door, so on the first night the light stayed on overnight. I initially thought that there was a motion sensor for light in the bathroom but when waking up in the night I could see the light under the bathroom door. I would have appreciated if the bathroom door had a mechanism to not close itself automatically. I ended up using a weight to hold the door so the bathroom could ventilate a little more. The remaining services and facilities were all ok and the price for service was quite reasonable. Would stay again.
Rent og pænt hotel. Meget serviceminded personale. Vi ved, hvad vi skal forvente, da konceptet er ens overalt. Vi havde mistet en iPhone i Barcelona, som blev fundet og indleveret i receptionen på hotellet efter, at vi var taget hjem. Vi fik fantastisk service hos hotellets personale, som jeg talte og mailede med flere gange. De pakkede telefonen, så vi kunne få den afhentet af DHL. Vi har været adskillige gange på Motel One i Barcelona, Hamburg og Berlin, og det er bestemt ikke sidste gang, vi kommer.
Blev mødt af de venligste front desk personale vi har oplevet på de rejser vi har foretaget. Atmosfæren på hotellet var afslappet og særligt tagterrassen var virkelig kærkommen og et super dejligt sted at nyde en kold tår at drikke og få slappet af.
Fint centralt hotel med venligt personale og en skøn tagterrasse. Værelserne er små, men pæne og rene. Udsigten til parken er helt fænomenal. Det trækker lidt ned at tagterrassen først åbner kl 11, hvilket føles som spild af en god mulighed om morgenen og at morgenmaden er temmelig dyr i forhold til det meget lille udvalg.
Top værelse med skøn terrasse. Morgenmad og baren fungerede perfekt under vort ophold. Alle var super venlige. Manglede cromcast eller lignende setup på tv'et
Venligt og hjælpsomt personale, God morgenmad Super rent Location var ok, men alt for mange hjemløse i telte i parken - gav utryghed når man rejser med et lille barn.
Rummene er meget små og mit værelse var meget fugtigt - så meget at jeg følte at jeg sov med våde håndklæder .
Vi er fan af denne hotelkæde, hvor vi har været på flere forskellige destinationer. Denne gang Barcelona. Altid fine omgivelser, venligt personale Vi har booket i Berlin til sommerferien

På vores Motel One Barcelona-Ciutadella kombinerer vi typisk spansk byggestil med regionalt producerede designmøbler og henter inspiration fra den omgivende flora og fauna. Faktisk er resultatet så enestående, at du hurtigt glemmer, at du egentlig kun er her for at overnatte. I receptionen med dens karakteristiske cementfliser, i de hyggelige lænestole fra den spanske designer Patricia Urquiola, på de smukke tæpper fra det lokale firma Nanimarquina: Overalt på hotellet inddrager vi den naturlige atmosfære fra den nærliggende park. Pendellamper fra designhuset Bocci leder tankerne hen på blomsterbuketter, mens gulve af spansk natursten giver indretningsdesignet et rustikt touch. Et stort udendørsområde med lounge indbyder til afslappende stunder under åben himmel.
På vores værelser går det naturnære design ligeledes igen: Boxsengenes hovedgærde er udsmykket af den unge illustrator Lara Costafreda, der har ladet sig inspirere af temaerne planter, natur og jungle. Selvom Motel One Barcelona-Ciutadella altså absolut er værd at opholde sig på, må du selvsagt ikke helt glemme Barcelonas mange spændende attraktioner. Ikke langt fra hotellet finder du parken Ciutadella, der indbyder til afslappende gåture i det grønne. Andre vigtige seværdigheder tæller UNESCO-attraktionen Sagrada Familia, kirken La Catedral, den pulserende Rambla og den centrale plads Plaça de Catalunya. ¡Benvinguts a Barcelona!
