Nice rooms and situated near the town marked. Checking in was very slow. Breakfast area the furniture was bad you were sitting very badly in so low chairs. The bar was understaffed and the one bar tender there could't make the drinks right. Kr Jan

I was very disappointed when a parking spot was not available, even though I in September was confirmed that I would have one reserved for me. But other than that I enjoyed my stay
The hotel is very close to the city centre and the university, which was especially helpful in my case. I had stayed at the Motel One in Nürnberg, so I knew what it would be like. I am especially impressed by how quiet the rooms are, even if there is a major road right next to it.

Staff super friendly. I'm sorry that i forgot to note down her name but she was very helpful. Rooms and bathroom very clean, only thing is the size of the room, for two people adequate, a little cramped for 3. Make sure you don't bring too much luggage with you ;)
Hotel is very well located, bedrooms are spacious and quiet with very comfortable beds, breakfast is generous and delicious. However, no kettle neither a bottle of water were available in the bedroom. A small tray with a kettle, cups, some tea bags / instant coffee and bottles of water in the room would be very welcome.

This was my second stay at the property. Again a great stay. The only thing that did not permit a 10/10 was the extra unforeseen and unexplained extra charge (I think it was 17 euro) that I had to pay when checking in. The desk person said it must have been a discrepancy from the online booking - I did not argue but I was not happy with it.

Good location. Easy access to shopping malls, restaurants and seafront. Parking facilities at the hotel premises was excellent. Clean accommodation. Good service and friendly staff.

It would have been good to have been told on the website or when booking that the hotel was undergoing refurbishment. There was no lounge or bar available and reception could not find any umbrellas, despite the heavy rain outside. The room apparently had a very new carpet, which still smelled rather unpleasant.
Your booking system demanded double payment to get a key. The building & furniture need renovation. Drinks are served in broken glasses.
I general very good for the price. The only thing that I think was not very good was breakfast and the space for eating. No bacon, scrambled egg.
Your reception personel were extremly kind. I had made reservation for wrong night but finally got a nice room and already at noon. Room and the view were excelent, lobby and breakfast area cosy.
The hotel was very comfortable and the staff was very nice. The room was warm and clean, the breakfast was very tasty.
The hotel was excellent…..that is why I had a hard time getting a room.

The Aircondition made so much noice that kept me awake the whole night. In stead of a god nights rest I was more tired before going to bed when going to work the day after.

As always, Motel One is a lovely Hotel Choice, and great value for money, but having stayed in quite a few other locations, this one felt somehow lacking. I think firstly the lounge/lobby area felt too spacious, it wasn’t used wisely and so lacked the usual cosy feel other Motel Ones have. (How about an aquarium? Or more nautical type of items since it’s near the sea?) Secondly, I was unfortunately unwell my first night there til I left, so was in the room a lot (the room was great, no complaints) however there was a dog barking non stop in a room nearby. I do like that Motel One is dog friendly, but I came there to relax and escape the noise of Berlin, and sadly that didn’t happen. Thirdly, I sat in the lounge at one point whilst staff were cleaning (not ideal, but I had tried going for a walk after starting to feel unwell and so sat down before heading up to my room) and a lady with a vacuum cleaner didn’t ask me to move my feet but just kind of aggressively cleaned around (I lifted my feet for her of course) Just wasn’t very polite. Other than that though it was really fine. I’ve never left a review before but this time I thought to since I was actually in the hotel more than usual. Keep up the great work, I’ll continue to stay at your great hotels! Best regards Astrid Castle
